Ah, this was between RCM and Detectival. If you have any stickers left, please put one in your purse for me, at a September RCM No Frills Weekender or Detectival 2025. I have something for you 😀

I have dived the Scillies over many years including the Bishops rock lighthouse, the Western Rocks, Sir Clowdisley Shovell’s wreck of the association and many many more. There are literally hundreds of shipwrecks and canons littering the seabed around the Scillies testimony to how lethal the islands have been to shipping throughout the ages. Tim Allsop and latterly his daughter run a fantastic dive charter out of St Martins. if you’re not a diver they can take on a magical experience to snorkel with the seals. I look forward to sharing your adventures on the beautiful IOS.

A tip for showing finds in focus, put the palm of your other hand behind it. The camera finds it a larger target. Your reading specs look great! Detectival was so much fun and I got to meet you! My XP App told me I walked 12.3 kilometers Day 1 and 10.8 on Day 2 . Chris FITG Roman pots are so neat, I bought 3, gifts for 2 daughters, and one for home! All 3 of my kids live on Farms, my son has 40 acres in Wales. I drove from Norfolk to see him, never detected and had to get back to Heathrow the next day.

Catching up on some Lives now. I found a smaller stud than your big stud but similar at Detectival 2022. I think it was a door stud. I hope you managed to fix your phone and all your images should be on iCloud. You should also back up to you iMac automatically. Mine go to my Windows computer as well as iCloud. Hot off the press today from Gary Cook, no RCM big rally this year, just 3 or 4 No Frills Weekenders. The team are taking a break. My daughter lives in Norfolk, and on a farm. The digging is hard, stony and flinty!

I decided to refresh my world geography using google map’s, to see exactly where you were headed. I wonder if the Spaniards would of dared venture so close to England ?
@miss_detectorist20 сағат бұрын
According to Google ‘The Spanish Armada sailed past the Scilly Isles on July 19, 1588, and was scattered by the wind. The fleet regained its formation as it entered the Channel. The English first spotted the ships near the Lizard in Cornwall, expecting an attack’ they sailed right past where I live in Devon! There’s a good map of the route on Wikipedia!

Catching up? No CAUGHT UP. That's it miss Ellie, every long form video watched and commented on, plus a few Lives and a fair few Shorts. How far you have come in a year and presented in such a down to earth, wonderfully truthful manner, mud rain, (lots of rain), frost, heat, few finds and lots of finds and the history behind them. And all this from a chat, a smile and a comment in the corner of a field at Detectival 2024, "I have a KZbin channel, 'Miss Detectorist', look me up". A very memorable day for me, with my first 3 Roman coins that I found. You are an inspiration. x

What a fabulous first coin, great detail! Your different Tesserae, I reckon was part of a circular mosaic which is why the sides are angled and top and bottom are rounded. Lovely Roman Mount and next the broken hammered coin, the rest of the must be there somewhere. The outro: You and rain, it follows you 😃

Wow, finds tiny wonderful Roman coins, and is happy. Wipes away a tear and picks up a HUGE Sestertius, and then more Roman coins and what you now know is an aptly named belt mount. Just wonderful to watch, but in the passage of time of just 10 months, you now find lots of Roman coins and artifacts. Lovely video to watch back on. Edited to Add: Did you know about the XP Go Terrain App? It tracks you on a map, if you want, but it also allows you to photograph find, write a What 3 Words note and links you your Deus II. It is a bit phone battery hungry, but is useful

5:20! That is the curtain rail I was telling you about that had the rollers with a loop for the curtain hooks. I had a piece of rail I rolled marbles down as a kid. I had the same ash shovel, tongs and poker at my Inn in Polperro. I was given to me by a lovely customer who was a bin man. He bought me lots of neat pieces on his rounds including and old sewn Union Jack and fire bellows x 2. I still have the flag. 7:54 is a beautiful old mixing bowl. I never knew about Pattens, thanks for the education. Yes to your iron ring, it is a 'dead ringer'!

Hi, I enjoyed your detecting videos. Your enthusiasm is infectious, even when you're only finding trash. I last detected a couple of years ago, I spent twelve hours in a field (three visits of four hours) all I found was a 1949 penny. The next field over had a roman camp on it, but it is scheduled. I haven't detected much since, but getting interested. Thanks for your videos 😊
