Remember those old movies that would get a " hair in the gate " ? Well you had 3 hares behind the gate 😆. Sure there must be more coins in there you just need a good rain or frost to turn them a little flat side up and you will hear them 😉🇨🇦

Well done Ellie, It's not about the Silver It's not about the Gold - It is about the history , and the stories that can be told.

Certainly got roman activity there. Magic to see 3 Hares. And lovely to see the Fox too. Xx

Excellent video. Totally agree, it’s not all about the finds it’s about being out in the country side enjoying your free time.😊

I just knew that signal was going to be a Moo-tube, such a banger! When you are sheltering under trees, you should detect if you can, as hundreds of people may have done the same thing. The nettles looked a bit too tall though. Most of your small nails look like horseshoe nails. Lovely pottery, great finds with a wonderful roman face and wise words from you sitting in the rain. Great video.

Yes, I should detect under trees more, sometimes I just like hanging out there 😂

You're right Miss Ellie. It's the hunt. Days go by sometimes many. Then bang. You dig something extra special. Maybe one day you'll walk into a field and find a hoard. Or a gold Guinea. Who knows? Lovely to watch as always. 😊

I've watched many KZbin detectorists on Roman fields and never found any as enthusiastic over Roman iron nails as you are. Most can't stand the pesky things as they are not interested in anything ferrous, but they are a part of history. Well done.❤

Haha thank you 😊 I do still find all that stuff interesting 😊

I am a French user of a metal detector, and I speak English "just a bit" but I thank you for your video about that roman field. The Nokta spade "makes the job" but I think it is a bit heavy. Best regards!

Ellie History is like a Jigsaw puzzle finding all pieces and putting them together makes a good story, Its not a good idea being out in a thunderstorm as you carrying metal about increases the chance of being hit by lighting ,so take care . well done with the video

Hi Ellie your enthusiasm is infectious , i also drive a fair long way to get to my permissions in York , 2 and half hour drive , i notice you use pitch tones alot , can i suggest full tones smooth , it gives you so much more information about the target id , instead of just the screaching pitch , try it on some silver and bronze targets i think you will like it , keep swinging lovely girl 😊

I will try that thank you! If I can work out how to change it 😂

@9:00 Well said. 🙂. It irritates the hell out of me where UK metal detecting channels always seem to be competing against each other with how many hammered they can put in a video or it is I have found another gold coin video and on and on it goes with never ending click bait thumbnails. 🙄. For Gods sake show me some buttons or cap badges or just run of the mill finds. 😠. Rant over. 😀. P.s. I have 40+ years of metal detecting in the UK and have a very nice collection of coins and artefacts ( still have everything never sold a thing ) and now in my later years 😆I appreciate the little finds more than the finds that most detectorists crave like another hammered silver to get on video for more clicks. 🙄. Good on you for going detecting and saying you do it for the fun. 🙂. HH.

Hi I noticed that there is a lot of stinging nettles around the oak trees stinging nettles nearly always grow over old buildings or habitation worth a look.!!

Yep I noticed that too! I did a little piece about stinging nettles on a previous vid. Definitely an old habitation here..
