The brackets that mount up to the rear of the engine. Does removing them make it easier to drop the box? Thanks 👍🏻

The little comment above the pov pack shifter housing is sooo helpful man. In the US there is no info about these and it’s making my FTE swap a nightmare.

Hey mate, thanks for the video, do you know if this process is similar to a removal of an 1993 manual 80 series? Ive never removed one before so just looking for a bit of a guide to get to my rear main seal! Thanks again

Nice work mate. Looking to something similar to my old 75. Would you go a thicker sheet next time? Im looking at 3 or even 4.5mm, not sure if itll be too thick tho? Going to keep the manual winder and handle. worth a sub. Cheers mate.

My H150f seems to make very high revs. Example 2800rpm doing 110kph in 5th gear on flat road etc. 2500rpm doing 100kph in 5th gear. 80kph in 4th gear is 2300rpm. Always seemed too high. Fuel use is one litre per 6.5km on average. Can't find any comparison figures on the entire internet. It's the standard 1hz 4.2 diesel. Can't understand why there are no rev/gear/speed comparison charts for the various gearbox options, or explanations for the variance pros or cons etc. Just thought I would put some figures out there. Tyres are Kumho LT 285/75/R16, running at 52-5psi. Steel bullbar, alloy rack. Stock spare wheel underneath. Motor seems good, no smoke or oil use, but gutless. Top speed pretty much 120kph.

great video mate I'm thinking about raptor coating my toyota landcruiser 105 series, did it make much mess as in on the ground and or around were you sprayed the 79? i do love that Toyota beige colour i had a 60 series that colour about 20 years ago your 79 looks mint now mate. im not sure if i will go for the same finish as yours or a bit finer if i could.

Pro tip: when making a template to transfer to your sheet metal take some white paper, a pencil, and a dirty finger or thumb, lay the paper over the area you want to trace, throw pencil behind you, take dirty finger and trace the edge of area you want to copy. Last step say to yourself, thank you stranger! 😉

Just started binge watching your build. You’re gonna spend $25k on it and be into it for 50k…. BUT you will end up with a beast worth $90k after all the mods. And it will run so sweet…..! I bought mine off a geologist who was going broke. Paid 22k about 6 years ago. Came with a Kevrek 1tonne crane. I hummed and ah-ed for weeks because of the crane. Turned out to be the best thing I could have got as I’m on a steep hillside farm. I dropped a lazy 25-30k on it what with rebuilds, upgrades and repairs. Oh, and the GTurbo, clutch and remapping. If I die I fear that my wife will sell it for what I told her I spent on it. My 12yo already has claimed it saying that I will be too old to drive soon. Cheeky little beggar….! Still haven’t done the interior properly but she goes anywhere I need her to go. What did you clean the interior vinyl with to get rid of the damn dust? Cheers and greetings from the south western corner of Australia.
