Despite being American, back in 2016, I got into Busted through their Thunderbirds song, and later good ol' Air Hostess. Granted those were the only two Busted songs I knew about at all at the time, but I will always have fond memories of Air Hostess. And even this "live" video, as this was before I really learned just how BIG these guys were in the UK in their peak in the early 2000s. Kinda surprised they never made it big in America what with them being pop punkers. And as per usual, what with me being 'Merican and whatnot, it was a genuine surprise to find out that Year 3000 was not a Jonas Bros. song (and for what it's worth, the original Busted version blows it out of the water, damn it's great). Now, having experienced most of their albums, and seeing how they've grown over the years, through other bands, side projects, now with Charlie returned, it's great to see them still kicking. Really glad I got back into them last year.

Plus 2 out of 3 of them are fugly so boybands are supposed to be good looking, but hey Charlie Simpson is the only good looking and his voice isn't the Boyband type. He has a Rockstar voice

They're not a boyband, though. They were boys in a band.

Scsigs they were basically a boy band at one point but they ended up becoming more of a pop pock/pop punk band as time went on. Originally they put out a single song to promote themselves(what i go to school for) and it basically had a backstreet boys/nsync vibe to it. I think they decided to shift the sound because of the popularity of mainstream pop punk at the time

Except a Boyband never has the members play their own instruments, or write a majority of their songs, or even be as cheeky as these guys were. I know their first album felt exactly like a Boyband album, because that was the sound for groups similar to them at the time, but they weren't one. Eventually, they moved to a more Pop Punk sound, which I think would've benefited them if the group went on longer than 2005 as they honed their sound more, but with Charlie Simpson leaving, they decided to disband for a while. I mean, I don't even get why, as Charlie just went & made Post Hardcore & Folk music, then returned to them & now they're making ok Synth Pop, but whatever. Point is, they weren't for all intents & purposes a boyband, they just sounded like one at first.

Scsigs well yea that's what i'm saying. And if anything charlie left because i feel like he felt that he had to prove himself as a musician. Busted got alot of shit for their music and for not playing their instruments at shows(this video is an example of how they were totally capacble of performing live) during their original run. I feel like he started fightstar just to show everyone that he wasn't just some kid making pop music. And if anything he proved everyone wrong and became a respected musician. Thats why he's able to now come back to busted he's got nothing to prove. And yea wasn't a big fan of the new album myself but sadly these guys are now in their mid 30s i doubt were guna get anymore pop rock/pop punk stuff out of them

Guys it doesn't matter how successful a band is to make someone have an opinion it's all about how much a person likes their music. This means McFly is just as good as Busted so they joined together

I really hate Charlie for leaving idk. Imagine if Tom Fletcher got into the band instead of Charlie though everything would be much different but then there would probably be no Mcfly..

khansa h I understand what you're saying, but without McFly, we wouldn't have had hits like 5 Colours or Star Girl, but I still like McFly, but don't listen to them as much as I used too, maybe because I am 23, and since Busted had their new album last year, I feel more closer to Busted after their split in 2005. I had been liking Busted all my life, but I do like Fightstar, after so many years without listening to them, and I liked the other stuff Charlie did from his solo stuff and the recent band with his brothers, Once Upon A Dead Man, with enjoying Son Of Dork and Future Boy, which was James Bourne's projects, and also Matt Willis' solo album too, until McBusted came, but I wasn't keen on how the albums went, let alone them playing McFly and Busted songs on the tours.
