You need to invest in some power poles, no deeper than you anchor.

Just started visiting your channel, now a subscriber. Dude amazing videos, thank you for your efforts in doing what you do. I am planning a trip to this place, actually Panhandle exploring, hopefully in August. I know it’s a risky time, due to storms or heavy rains right in the middle of storm season. Anyway this entrance seems a little sketchy.. how did your friend end up there before you?

I grew up on Lake George and my parents commercial fished the lake. The jetties were built to control sediment build up where the river meets the lake and allow for a barge channel deep enough for oil barges to pass through that once traveled the river.

Where did you get that container tower for your powders? I really need one of those! Do you have any issues with moisture getting inside the containers? Also, my family used to have a house on St. Johns River and we went to Silver Glenn springs every summer so it brought back so many childhood memories seeing it again!

Great video and I love the C-Dory. We probably passed you the opposite direction on 09April in a Hobo houseboat, from Sanford on 21March to Amelia Island Bridge and back to Sanford 10April. Took us 21 days at 6 mph, with a lot of side trips to springs and creeks. The wide open lakes (River of Lakes) and spring winds can be a challenge. Editing our videos as I write. We're subscribed!

I dove the cave at blue springs in the 90s. That place is amazing but I don't recommend going to the bottom, the water is violent gushing in at like 3000gal a sec or something crazy like that. Best friend lost his life down there.i went one last time to carve his name in the rock as a memorial .

Hey trip, great to see you exploring my backyard in Florida. Anclote key is an awesome spot. I’ve kayaked camped there many times. The west side of the island has beautiful beaches. On the northern side you can find a cool sailboat wreck just off the beach if you ever visit again.

No one eating a typical diet in America needs an extra 1000 milligrams of sodium per day, including me.
@TripSmith9 күн бұрын
True. If someone is eating a typical American diet that won't even help. As you can see, my diet is pretty clean so I don't get a lot of the non sense in your typical American diet. Sometimes I mention that, but forgot to this time. The iodized salt found in most foods is not good though, the natural and pure salts however are good for you from what I have learned. I use Redmond's.

What was the thing in your mouth while you were sleeping? And, how bad were the mosquitoes and no-see-ums during anchorage? I don’t think I could do the seal meat. 🤮
@TripSmith9 күн бұрын
It was mouth tape to encourage nasal breathing. I love it.... Ummmm, they were hit and miss, but mostly they were there. Not terrible.... The seal meat is adventurous!

Great trip! I live in Orlando and am thinking about doing this in reverse. Question, I have a center console KW 21 ft boat. Sleeping on the boat in an open cockpit, I'll wonder if bugs/mosquitos will be a major issue. Do you have any insight? Many thanks.
@TripSmith9 күн бұрын
Thanks Jeff! On bugs, it's hit or miss honestly, but mostly you'd get hit with them lol I'd grab one of these - amzn.to/4dKmu27 or amzn.to/4bwxMFS and have a tarp setup ready just in case.

@paulchogolmad680814 күн бұрын
Btw, what's with the tape over your mouth at night?
@TripSmith9 күн бұрын
It's to encourage nasal breathing which has many benefits over mouth breathing. Sometimes at night my facial muscles can relax and I may start mouth breathing. I sleep much better now ;)
