Id have probably put teahupoo with kopek myself. Id worry about whether something will have too much speed for final demand in the turners. 2m6f winners rarely win that race. Its usually won by something with good 2 mile form.

Yes I can see the logic, but the bookies all try to get the fav beaten in the supreme don’t they! I did it with shishkin a few years back, lumped on at 7/2 went to 7/4 few days before the race and drifted to 13/2, luckily I went back in at the bigger odds as well or I’d of had my fingers burned.

Paul it is non runner money back so one non runner gives me a single and I just feel one or both will contract in price. 11-8 and 5-2 gives 7-1 I feel so will be lower but I could well be wrong. It’s a gamble.

IMO, Gaelic Warrior is not a 2 miler in open grade company. He won a very weak arkle on heavy ground last season, and so far, he's been disappointing. I appreciate it is horses for courses, but I don't think the horse has that much of an issue with leapordstown. He was just beaten by better horses. I was really disappointed with El Fabiolos jumping. He was by far the best horse in that race, and all of a sudden, he's become bambi on ice. For the Champion Chase I still wouldn't write off Energumene if it was bottomless
@gary39652 күн бұрын
I don’t get the Gaelic Warrior for champion chase idea, nothing in his form lines suggests he’s up to it, to my eye at least. Wasn’t even campaigned as an arkle horse last year, ground came up in his favour and Willie didn’t really have any other concrete options for the race. You could question the ride on him over the weekend but I personally struggle to see him being able to lie up at that pace even if they tried.

Another great video Mark. Tend to agree with you on mostly all of it again! Not sure if it’s great minds think alike, or if I should be worried that I’m too comfortable patting myself on the back while watching. I tend to disagree with a lot of the podcasts which I like as it means I’m at least considering different points of views. I will be backing the FD and KDB double, you can get just over 8/1 which is more than fair, that’s Ante rather than NRNB. I don’t know what The New Lions form amounts too, but I do have a feeling that the Challow was another weak renewal, though he did do it easily. I wouldn’t totally rule out The Yellow Clay either for all he seems to lack the classiness of Final Demand or The New Lion, out of the 3 of them he’s the only one who has had an actual race, and will be staying on strongly whatever happens, especially if they go a strong pace. I am a little gutted having to play catch-up with KDB in the Supreme as I have him well backed for the Turners at big prices, but at least it’s right horse wrong race, as opposed to wrong horse altogether. It’s Elliott/Hands & Heels by the way!
@alexmansfield86762 күн бұрын
Agree with everything you said. I was on Kopek for the Turners at 14’s. Kicking myself that I didn’t cover the Supreme yesterday morning. I did it last year. Doubled Slade Steel and Ballyburn for both races. I’m going in with the worst book I’ve had for years this time.

@@smoking_cheltenham as for the bad books I’ve just watched racing both weekend afternoons plus football then made videos both evenings and now trying to sneak to place a few ante post bets at the shops. Unpopular would be an understatement 😊. Cheltenham better go well she keeps saying !!!! The bumper horse at Pipes bolted in in an Irish bumper trainer then sold the horse to Tilsdale who gave it to Pipe. Irish trainer said it was the best horse he’s ever had. Also had a reason for his Irish bumper defeat before his two recent wins. Bambino was strong tho and has a big chance.

Hi Mark, great video enjoyed that. Thanks for the shout out, very good of you and I'd love to do a joint one, as long as you dont mind me smoking at side of you😂. I dont know if you still got my email but let me know and we'll sort something out. I did actually back kaid d'authie today and backed kopek for the wrong race so I'll take the backtonormal but cant take credit for that lol. Dont mind that double mate, luckily I played it just before the race but for no reason I can think of didnt take the 8/1 nrnb for Kopek in a single😢. Very impressive both, nit picking Kopek plenty keen they'll just need to keep a lid on him and final, just not sure for the ballymore horses that you'd give a favs chance in the bartlett. Only niggle looks class. Think Kawaboomga would bring a high level of form to the ballymore with the potential for much improvement over the trip, might well go Supreme looking at jp's deck but think 10/1 nrnb is very fair for a cover bet. If he did go that way and kopek took out the Supreme in good style dont think you'd get half that price. I know coming off a maiden but those 2 maidens are serious form. I covered that double also lol. C'mon the Warrior! Think it will come down to the ground, soft/heavy all over him for the Champion, gd/sft may go Ryanair but like you say think Fact To File goes there amd although different jockeys hard to see Willie throwing 2 of his big guns at that race. Willie bingo, does my bloody head in😅. Poor Lossie, didnt deserve that just glad she's still alive and kicking to be honest. I'll never forget Our Connor, was all over him great horse those 2m hdlrs live on the edge. Rambled long enough mate wife in bed done no prep for tomorrow been sorting out antepost most the evening best go up I'll be in bad books now. All the best and thanks again great video

Thanks Steve. GW a big concern after today but can’t forget that Arkle. I liked both runs from Final Demand he’s too good for a Bartlett for me. Everyone likes Kawaboomga for Turners that has me swithering a little even my closest accomplice is saying Kawa. Anyway if you could mail me at [email protected] we could organise a joint video or “attempt😊” one. I’ll need a manual.

@Cheltenham-Chat yea I'm same with Gaelic, sft/hy I think he'll smash Jonbon tbh but for me it is all about the ground with him. Love Final Demand, definitely goes Turners just like my Turners horse to have shown good 2m pace, looks to have gears but I'd say if he went Bartlett theoreticaly then I'd fancy him. Just prefer my turners horse to be more Supreme/Turners than Turners/Bartlett if you know what mean. Dont let me put you off at all though I am on just dont think he's a like Ballyburn penalty kick last year. I'll note down that email in a min so you can delete it if you like, just give me a few mins mate. Yea never done owt like this before but I'm sure we'll be reight lol. All the best will do that then off to bed best get the better half something out of these backtonormal winnings think I'm definitely in bad books🤣

Punters have to get into their head that British trainers target Christmas and Cheltenham . Mullinx starts later and works back from Punchestown to Aintree & Cheltenham. So the mullins strategy is to start later and due to weather conditions even slower and later this season. To prove the fact everyone missed Punchestown last Monday, Mullins Karbau won the Maiden in a very fast time on my speed figures and has the highest rated RPR this season.in maidens on either side of the lrish sea, can he transfer this to open or group class remains to be seen, his novices are still a work in progress. Yet no one has picked up on this novice in any podcasts l have come across. His novices are still evolving. So don't think you have the full picture yet, be fluid and spot the potential late bloomers who could surprise many at the festivals. Don't forget podcasts and reporters only have asked questions on stable tours of horses that have had numerous races to date. Watch out for the potential late bloomers who could improve at a rate of knots past more experienced stable mates.

@yowtran9 күн бұрын
Totally agree that making a profit has become an obsession for you and that this has really affected your confidence in putting up selections imo.You don't need to be the first to put up a horse and there's nothing wrong with putting one up that someone else has selected. It just reconfirms that it is a good choice and thevprice is still probably more decent than you think.

I think you need to stop worrying too much about what people want to see and decide what you want your channel to be. As you say there are so many options out there that people will get what they want on one of them and you have to decide what your niche is going to be. You can't do everything, just do one or two things and do them well. There's something in the thumbnail for every video you put up that says profit at the festival or something along those lines so to me that's what your channel is about and that's what you focus on but if making a profit is stressing you too much then change it. Don't worry about ones that have already gone. No one is going to get on everything and if they did they'd probably lose money anyway, move on from those that aren't backable prices anymore and find the next one.
