Don't beat yourself up pal more often than not if trust your instincts you'll not go far wrong, Henderson mare didn't run her race was very strange but something might show up

When betting on the Mares Novice hurdle I tend to avoid P2P recruits and concentrate on the French imports and it’s worked out well over the years. That’s why I’m hoping Karoline Banbou does the business tomorrow

Have to disagree Mark for me Tullyhill jumped generally pretty well and Asian Master ( he will be better up in trip and a pro on hi. nothing against Mr Costello,). that race form wise looks very very good.

It’s all opinions the one I forgot about was Firefox who also lost. The iq data was quite damning on Tullyhill but of course Majborough was good and you could be right. I get loads wrong and all of the guys who watch are knowledgeable. We will know by the festivals. 😊

Backing 3 horses in the same race each at 33/1 is actually giving you 11/1, you would be better waiting for the day yiu would probably get 10s for any of them. I saw this on another video and thought I'd share. ATB MARK.

Karoline Banbou ran OK. Overjumped, used more energy than ideal and spent too much time in there air but she should improve from that. Pretty good quality race and the support beforehand for her, coupled with the run she put in should give us hope for the festival.

I don't think it's fair to say ante post is dead just because you've made a mistake (or a couple). I've had probably about 15 ante post bets and none of them have came out and hugely disappointed yet. I'm not fortunate enough to have a huge priced ticket on Lossiemouth for example, but everything I've backed that's run has at least ran well enough to hold their price so I think you're being a bit reactionary to just say ante post is dead (of course all of those who've ran OK might get injured before the festival or go for a different race and that's perhaps a stronger argument against ante-post betting than just the argument that you've made the odd mistake about a horse). I wouldn't be backing any English horses for a juvenile/novice race this far out. We've seen so many times the Irish start the season slow and they start producing the goods around Christmas time so in the juveniles/novices I'd either be taking a punt on those that haven't run yet out of the big Irish yards or just waiting to see what they produce in the coming weeks.

I Thank you for watching and commenting. I wasn’t saying ante post was dead about That’s Nice. I have been saying it for a few years. For example I backed on the videos The Nice Guy at 14-1 nrnb the horse won at 18-1. The prices are just too tight. The horses are priced as if the race was next week. Betting so far out at tight prices is extremely tough.

@@Cheltenham-Chat I think the real interest with ante post betting though is trying to find something at a nice price that goes off fav or similar (e.g. there are those with big priced tickets on Lossiemouth for the Champion, Spillane's Tower for either Ryanair or Gold Cup), it's not worrying about a couple of points here and there (e.g. the difference between 14s and 18s). I think it also requires a bit of volume to cover for those that might go the other way - you're not so bothered about losing the few points on The Nice Guy if you've got another ante post ticket that's came in by a lot more. To your example though, another of my ante post rules is to avoid the Albert Bartlett. It's usually won by a big-priced one on the day anyway. I'll be taking on the fav whatever it may be, so no incentive to try and get a good-priced ticket on a fav there!
