Let's not forget champions of the past have done meet and greets to make money. Tyson has made enough money to financially secure his and his family's future with this pay day. He deserves that for everything he's done for the sport.

It was great for all the deluded people that think biology doesnt apply to tyson and age is just a number and he could make a comeback etc... pure nonsense and also jake paul can box, can he be a contender? Of course not but he will always win when he fight someone that cant box.

Honestly don't know, Holmes was faster but Lennox hit harder, I'd edge Lennox being a bit smarter & Lennox punch arsenal was much more versatile

Kinda foreshadowing here because in the end end his only weakness did turn out to be him and not his fighting style. He kept fighting right until his brain bleed got too bad. And he looked like a G right until his last moments in the ring.

Leonard vs. Mayweather Jr. is one hypothetical match up in which there is a common historical link; Mayweather Sr. Jr. was obviously better than his father but used a lot of the same moves which Leonard eventually figured out and proceeded to lay on a beating. There weren’t, aren’t and won’t be many better than Ray Leonard on his best nights at 147lbs.

If Marvin Hagler, who was an all-time great middleweight, were to make a move similar to Roberto Duran’s leap from lightweight to middleweight, it would mean moving up to the light heavyweight division and fighting one of the top fighters there. For a real-world comparison, imagine Hagler moving up to light heavyweight to face someone like Michael Spinks, who was reigning at light heavyweight in Hagler’s era and regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters. This would capture the essence of Duran’s move: a jump in weight class and a willingness to face elite, high-caliber opposition in a division where he wouldn’t naturally have the same physical advantages he had at middleweight.
@FayzBoxing9 күн бұрын
@@MjahedTV yes this fight really showed how Great Duran was. Starting out as a 119lb fighter he went toe to toe with arguably the greatest middleweight of all time

Yup, peak was the 70s, fighter of the decade for a reason. Undisputed at 135 vs Great fighters like De Jesus & Buchanan, was denied a fight vs Pryor & went to 147 to become the only man to beat prime sugar Ray Leonard before losing to him, beats Pipino & Moore defying what everyone said about him & goes the distance with Marvin, things the Hitman & the beast didn't do. Moore at 154 was a better win than Kalule. He faced Ray, Tommy & Marvin all at their BEST at THEIR WEIGHT, 147, 154, 160. Though I felt he always would've been too small for Tommy & Marvin, I'm still disappointed in him for losing to Benitez & not taking that fight seriously
