Can you get ankle adjustments 5 months after a cartilage lesion surgery where the lesion was removed micro-fracture was done and stem cells from my hip and cadaver cartilage were inserted
@Mc2.health4 күн бұрын
Great question! It's important to consult your orthopedic surgeon, chiropractor or physical therapist before getting any adjustments following cartilage lesion surgery. Generally, after procedures like micro-fracture surgery and stem cell insertion, a careful approach is essential to ensure proper healing. Your healthcare provider can give you specific guidance based on your unique situation and recovery progress. Wishing you a smooth and speedy recovery!

Are you only doing passive hangs? Or should we do active hangs too? Pretty sure I have a shoulder impingement so I tried hanging last night. It hurt so bad right after, but my original pain improved within a half hour and still feels better than baseline today.
@Mc2.health4 күн бұрын
It is best to perform both passive/active hangs. When performing active hangs, focus on controlling/stabilizing the shoulder blade. This technique might improve the pain while performing exercise/right after. Glad you are already feeling better!

I'm really sorry to hear about your experience. It's important to remember that everyone's body reacts differently to supplements, and it's crucial to follow dosage instructions carefully and consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement. L-tryptophan can have side effects, especially if taken in higher doses. Chest pain and heart-related symptoms should always be taken seriously and warrant immediate medical attention. It's possible that other factors, such as underlying health conditions or interactions with other medications, could have contributed to your symptoms. Please talk to your doctor about your experience to determine whether L-tryptophan is safe for you and to explore alternative solutions that might be better suited for your health needs. Your safety is the most important thing.

What would help an ice or heat therapy? Btw i dont have swelling It hurts only when i do full ROM.
@Mc2.health28 күн бұрын
Great question! Both modalities are helpful in managing pain. In general heat theoretically will help loosen up the tissue before performing any exercise or specific movements to strengthen the shoulder. Ice is great at managing the pain, but performing before exercise my cause the tissue to be cold and tight. A good plan is heat before exercise, ice after exercise if there is persisting pain. Heat therapy might be more beneficial for muscle relaxation and mobility. If heat doesn't help, try ice. Always protect your skin by wrapping the ice or heat pack in a cloth. If pain persists, consult a healthcare professional.

Is this safe if you have a protruded disc and arthritis?
@Mc2.health2 ай бұрын
Great question! In general, yes CMT is great for disc pathology, as well as pain from arthritis, but it is ultimately is dependent on the severity of injury, and the skill of the practitioner. Be sure that any professional the performs spinal manipulation does a full history and examination to ensure the treatment is safe for you. Hope this helps!

My t6 keeps moving out. The chiropractor keeps adjusting it. Can I try this method?
@Mc2.health2 ай бұрын
Great question! This technique is not specific for adjusting T6, so if that individual vertebrae is causing issue you may need a chiropractic adjustment for the specificity. With that said, this technique mobilizes the thoracic spine in a broader spectrum that may relieve the symptoms you experience. Long story short, it is worth a try, but you still may need to see the chiropractor if it does not fully relieve symptoms. I hope this helps!

When doing the strength work with the bands / dumbbells, how many sets and reps please? Great video❤
@Mc2.health2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching, and great question! Sets/reps is dependent on the individual, and where they are at currently. Typically for beginners I recommend anywhere from 2-5 set of 3-15 reps with relatively high intensity (should feel like hard work regardless of # of reps). Try to stay on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of volume, and increase as you increase strength! Hope this helps!

How long is the recovery if you might have a minor tear , till you get back to weight lifting
@Mc2.health2 ай бұрын
Great question! It really depends on the severity of the tear, but in general it should heal up around 4-6 weeks. With that said, if able to perform movements under lighter resistance with no pain, is totally fine, and shouldn't interrupt the healing process. Hope this helps!

Any idea what it might be,it would be helpful,cuz this crack is so annyoing,i also have great range of motion,on overhead,lateral Thanks in advanced
@Mc2.health2 ай бұрын
If I had to speculate, I would suspect pathology in the supraspinatus or acromion process, but it is hard to know for sure without a proper examination. Supraspinatus is responsible for the initiation of abduction of the shoulder up to about 15 degrees before the deltoid takes over. Due to this fact I would guess supraspinatus. I recommend if you have the means to see an expert in your area for an examination.

@Mc2.health2 ай бұрын
I am not entirely sure what the "bear hug test" is, but pain in the front of the shoulder could be related to muscles of the rotator cuff, or a different pathology. Can you provide more details about what happened?

If it is due to tendinitis, performing eccentrics has been shown to be very effective. Avoid painful movements, and maybe think about taking a bit of time off. I hope this helps!
@TheDivinian3 ай бұрын
Have had shoulder pain for months now, and the test you demonstrated in this video causes immediate pain for me. Can you clarify if the pain correlates to an impingement, or a rotator cuff injury? I know for a fact that I haven't torn anything in my shoulder, and would like to avoid doing that in anyway possible lol. If it is impingement, are there any movements or stretches you would recomend to alieviate the pain? I heard hanging from a bar for up to 3 minutes a day helps.. P.S. The pain I feel is deep in the shoulder, and towards the back of the shoulder (where you referenced in the video)
@Mc2.health3 ай бұрын
It's essential to start by acknowledging that without a physical examination and potentially imaging studies like an MRI, it's challenging to give a precise diagnosis over the internet. However, I can offer some general insights based on the description you've provided. Pain deep in the shoulder and towards the back, especially with certain movements, can indeed suggest a few possibilities, including rotator cuff tendinopathy or impingement syndrome. Both conditions can cause pain without a full tear of the rotator cuff tendons. As far as exercises/stretches that may help, I will link to the full video in which I cover a few, also check out my channel for other videos on shoulder rehab. In general, stop performing aggravating activities, and perform stretches and strengthening exercises for the rotator cuff that do not exacerbate symptoms. Hope this helps!

Hello doc... I hav a lower back pain on alternative days. The orthopedic doctor said that i might be having some - bulged disc issue (without taking any scan) & suggested some exercises - which didn't help much. Should i consult him again or visit a Chiropractor only ? 🤔🤔🤔
@Mc2.health3 ай бұрын
Great question! It is always a good idea to follow up with any doctor after any prescribed intervention whether it was helpful or not. Seeing a chiropractor is also a great idea! Chiropractors are well trained to manage disc pathology. If you have the means an integrated approach is a great strategy!
