Now we have a new one on. Lippert did not warranty it since well outside a year. Cost us about $1150 including part to fix. Side bonus is that jack gives us about 4” more ground clearance.

I enjoy your videos. I noticed in an earlier video from 2023 that you were not impressed with Grand Riviera Resort in Foley. Why was that the case? I will be visiting your area in a week or so looking to purchase a lot, are there other resorts you could recommend I consider? Thank you very much.

@@ldj51 Grand Riviera has a good location but is sandwiched in between two apartment complexes. One looks okay the other looks cheap. The lot design is very poor with all lots having a 90 degree angle from the street compared with others on an angle in the area. The roads around are very busy at times. The base price of a lot then was $150k not sure if they’re the same price now but Lake Osprey is a much nicer facility far more beautiful for about $25k less. you can build up to a 1200 sq ft home if you wish on the lots.

I don't see Riverstone Legacy as lower than DRV any longer.. if you look at how they build their frames with fully boxed-in steel front ends and now going to full fiberglass roofs and AC's w/ heat pumps... not sure where DRV has the edge any longer. Happy to learn though. Thanks for the great content.

@@QuadTap yeah Riverstone is doing a lot of things right. I’d buy one. One of the odd things that has been a problem for me specifically is their interior doorways are not standard residential doors. They’re like 30” x 76” which is odd on a wall that’s 10-11’ tall. I have to watch it or I’ll hit my head walking through them. Having to duck in my own home is a bummer. DRV hasn’t been doing anything new design-wise for years. I wonder if the Thor group will kill off the brand in the long run.

@@QuadTap I’m actually more interested in the Brinkley model R and I that will start releasing in late 2025 or 2026. They told us at the factory tour they have plans for a full body paint full profile luxury model in a few years. Their line will eventually spell RIGZ

@@FishTalesusa I knew they were spelling something out... The full paint Gs look outstanding with the paint going through the slide side walls... It will be interesting to see what they will do with a max quality line. Quality control aside it's a great time to be watching the industry.. we plan to go the Tampa supershow in January.

it is a nice spot and literally 1/2 hr from Eugene. The upper McKenzie is even prettier - and a lot more action whitewater-wise. See my previous video for that one.

Great overview of this run! That's the best whitewater I've seen in the area. Tons of eddy hopping spots. Hard to find videos like this around here.

- Benson Does Not Have A Super Wal-Mart. Just The Opposite. Benson Has The Smallest Wal-Mart. I Didn't Even Know They Made Wal-Marts That Small. Maybe You Were Thinking Of The Super Wal-Mart In Sierra Vista 45 Minutes Away. And You Didn't Mention That Legends RV Resort Has Interstates On Two Sides. So Interstate Noise Level Is How Bad? With All The Semitrucks Coming Right There At The Big Loves Gas Station. In Front Of Legends RV Resort To REST With Their Motors Running. It's A Semitruck Race Way Park Too. And That's Got To Be The Smallest Pool I've Seen At Any RV Parks I Ever Stayed At. When The Snow Birds Land In Benson For 7 Months? It's Very Crowded! Business Are Full And Traffic Is Bumper To Bumper All The Time. So Yeah You Will Have To Go To Big Towns 45 Minutes To An Hour Or Hour And A Half Away To Do Any Convenient Shopping That's Not Hectic. As All The Sounding Small Towns Come To Benson To Do Their Grocery Shopping As Well.

Compared to the Walmart in our hometown of Eugene OR at least Bensons Walmart has groceries. The location of your lot will have a big impact on your enjoyment of Legends. We were on the South side furthest from the freeway but our RV is also very well insulated. Right now we’re only maybe 100 yards from the edge of I-5 and a truck stop and we can barely hear anything.

Our 2021 Tiffin RW had a 900# OCCC which includes occupants and cargo - including fresh water. So it's a very light carrying capacity. 2022 and later models the company used some lighter components to lighten up the overall rig so 1000 or 1100 might be possible. Have them photograph the yellow sticker on the B-Pillar of the driver's door to conform 100%.

@@loisappuhn9483 yeah it's a bit of a killer with these particular vehicles. The Mercedes diesel is tremendously efficient but not really designed for a full motorhome's appearance and carrying. As a Class B Van they work pretty well but don't include full wall slides etc. A good alternative is the Thor Gemini 24JG or something similar that's built on a Ford Truck Chassis. It's a lighter-weight vehicle that should still get decent gas mileage and has a more reasonable OCCC. That being said, it's definitely not the quality of the Tiffin.

Not too bad. The AC right above your head while trying to watch TV is loud. We didn’t use it too much. Inside the Generator is just a low hum. Sitting at the patio side it’s a bit annoying.

The force is a great boat but for me I absolutely needed a Force XL and they only made them a short time back in the early 2000s. Impossible to find used. It would be hard to justify the 2.5 times cost between the Viper and the Force. Quality of the Viper is excellent. Second season in use probably 150 river miles of class 3-4 and it’s still like new.

Is the limited weight load a problem? We are considering getting one and some have commented that the weight of the living space is almost a full capacity for the vehicle.

It is a genuine concern. The 900# of weight is mostly important in transit where it could impact whether an insurance claim might pay or not. If you and your spouse, your clothing items, dishes and small appliances, food, bedding, pet, weight of tow bar if hauling a toad, etc are going to go over weight than it could be an issue. Carrying water was our biggest concern. We never carried more that 33% in fresh tank because we couldn’t and still be under weight.

We put in and took out at Cypress Bend Park. In hindsight we should have paddled down to the tube chute on the Comal but we didn't know about it and our dogs had been in the house too long as it was.

Seems like it would be but we got hit by a 6,000 lb Toyota mini van that was going 45mph broadside and was still able to open and close the door, roll the window up and down. A better situation than a typical small car. A LOT better than a motorcycle - which is the definition of a casket on wheels.

Yeah it's super fun too. I wish someone made one that was truly waterproof and capable of being ridden in the rain or through puddles etc. Even my new Emove Cruiser which is far more resistant to the water isn't "waterproof" like a regular bicycle is.

Apparently it’s rusted out. There’s surface rust on the rear swing arm and the front struts. The car was in NYC for 3 years
