Defence needs something extra. Shes not having much luck with attack being either off form, or injured.. Kelly looks fine when allowed on, and shes still doing what her England role was for the endgame and penalties. Who else is available or capable of doing it better. ? The big unasked and unanswerable question is how can England field a top in form force- when you have so few English players now in, or appearing for top teams, and managers are busy wearing out some players with overuse, and benching others to justify buying new overseas talent , or for some reason unrelated to ability. At some point, if clubs are effectively strengthening opposing national teams, and over or under using national talent, Sarina isnt going to have the talent or experience , old or new to beat them.

He is just a strategic deadweight .. City hold possession but too often seem to follow their training and end up in pointless passing. Even when the game went against them, with little time left, they were still passing the ball backward instead of moving forward, His idea of an attack is Bunny but Bunny's game is off, good teams now mark her better, and shes in danger of being overused and injured like last year. He also relies on the, very smart , Hasegawa to spot and build opportunities but like Stanway for England, teams have learnt to close her down, so nothing much happens further forward . Today he sent out a team for a key match, with no attack on the wings to actually score goals or feed Bunny, or Jess. , Lauren Hemp who has been overused, not that surprisingly, had gained an injury. And she was replaced by no one. He yet again played his latest Japanese purchase who did nothing much ...And his other world class winger Kelly was left sitting on the bench for no apparent reason to do with ability. He hasnt noticed, or has chosen to forget that Hemp and Kelly worked as a team as they split the effort, and the defence , between them and both are faster and more versatile and skilled than most players. Instead, today he went on pitch with neither , and nothing happened in a key match where Chelsea had attacking players and more speed. Or , rather , worse, he actually sent Kelly on for the last 10 minutes - which was ridiculous doing it only after the match was iretrrievably lost due to a shortage of skillful attackers in the previous 80,..

So why didn't Chloe start mate, especially with Hemp missing? Trying to phase her out? Funny how Stina comes on twice and scores twice for Arsenal?
