We owned two Oliver 88 diesels with the wide front and both of ours had the white creme grill on them.

Meyers Tractor Salvage in Aberdeen, SD has 160 acres of old tractors on hand for parts. That's where we always picked up obsolete parts for our Oliver 88 tractor.

I worked on air at WJWL-AM in Georgetown, Delaware in 1975-1976, when it was owned by Great Scott Broadcasting. Radio 900 was in a building that is very similar to WGGH. The tower was behind the building, just as it is with your station in Illinois. It brings back memories to see this video. Sadly, WJWL was sold to LaRaza and no longer broadcasts in the English language. Thanks for posting.

Nobody thought to test the paint on something before covering the entire tractor in it? AGCO and others have the paint codes for the Super 88's. Crazy that you didnt tape off tires either with how nice those are and how hard they are to find decent. To go all that length for a messy, and wrong paint job is crazy. By the way it was the 3 digit and 4 digit Olivers that were Meadow Green and Clover White. Do the Super 88 justice and get it painted right.
@Thearchivescd20 күн бұрын
It was in the booth and ready to go, so we were putting what we had. way I look at it is, this Will be a good primer for the next green. Back tires are in horrible shape. I did tape the front because they are new. We took the vin the Kroves Oliver, which they told us the scheme paint it should be. Thanks for watching!

You've got to paint it as it came from the factory, Oliver Green, red and yellow so that all the lettering will coordinate. Super 88's are tough. You can't have one running around looking prissy! An 88 was my first tractor right out of highschool. I used to love the sound of that inline six purring away all day in the fields. I loved watching yours come back to life. It brought back a lot of fond memories. But you've got to paint it correctly. You'll be sorry if you don't see that yellow grill in front. Neal

Looks fantastic! Especially for a rattlecan job. In my opinion, its hard to have too much chrome on a classic truck, and especially with those hub caps, getting the mirrors and the grill chromed would REALLY pull everything together.

No hate but you’d be a whole lot cheaper and faster painting with a cheap purple spray gun if you have a decent sized air compressor. To blow the budget throw on a couple coats of SpeedoKote SMR-42 clear coat. It will give the paint durability because in 2 years this will turn chalky.
@Thearchivescd2 ай бұрын
Yeah, I just wanted something to throw on it quick and we are currently moving shops around, so rattle can it was! Something everyone can do in a driveway without a compressor. I’ll look into the clear though to help! Thanks for the recommendation man!

God also said-manage everything I've provided, as a means to sustain yourselves i.e., that which God provide is here for us; not vise versa. [Gen 1v28] God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and *subdue it;* and *rule over* the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky and over *every living thing* that moves on the earth.” Have a good day.

Marion, IL is in Bloody Williamson County. You'll get a better picture of the small towns, villages and creeks with a Williamson County map.

An interesting video with a good storyline. However, this production suffers in three major ways. The first is the producer's dependence on a camera mounted microphone. Nothing screams "amateur" like the reliance on this type of microphone. They provide inconsistent coverage and are simply harder to hear. Invest in a couple of wireless mics and see how this subtle change will Improve your presentation The second change I would suggest is to reduce your reliance on the gimbal you use. They have their place particularly in wide, sweeping shots but using it for every closeup is tiring and can almost create a seasick like effect for your viewers. Instead, mix your longer shots with some B roll edited in later. This will break up the long shots and keep your audience attentive. Lastly, you have to provide some supplemental lighting. While the imaging sensors in today's cameras are remarkably sensitive in low light conditions, additional light sources will provide depth and clarity. As one final suggestion, if you plan to possibly develop a KZbin career you should invest in a real camera rather than relying on that cell phone you are currently using ( yes, I could tell )! I would suggest a used Canon, Nikon or Panasonic product one or two generations back. Attach it to a shoulder mount made by a company called Small Rig. With a decent lens you will have a device that far exceeds the specifications of the $30,000 television news camera I lugged around 25 years ago.
