Thanks for weighing in Wick. The purpose of the video is to demonstrate how much easier it is to rasp EPS foam surfaces with a Durarasp compared with the competitor’s product. The tool is used to remove minor imperfections on the surface of the wall before applying a scratch coat. The tungsten carbide grit on a Durarasp is incredibly durable and lasts up to 100 times longer than standard rasping paper. If rasping a large wall section we offer a 48” Durarasp which is great for saving time and energy. Additionally we offer powered rasping solutions. The Rokamat dual disc sander comes in corded and cordless configurations. Rasps are not intended for removing large amounts of foam from the surface. They perform much like sand paper on a wood surface. If you need to shave off an inch or more of foam, take a look at our Polyplane line of tools. That’s exactly what they’re made for.
