Dear Tanya, I took your advice and installed the GPT app. I managed to have a chat with Santa in British English, then American English, followed by German, and then I spoke with Saint Nicholas in Polish and Father Frost in Russian. Turns out, Father Frost has an American accent. It’s more like Santa in disguise, who just happened to get Russian citizenship. I told him I wanted to "hit it off with..." Does that mean a romantic thing? He responded, "Not necessarily. It just means to build a good relationship." So, I asked him to put his granddaughter, the Snow Maiden, on the phone. He said she was busy, but that he’d always make time for me. Very strange... Isn’t it? 🙄

Tanya, thank you so much for showing me how to use the tool in such detail. Can I do the speaking practice on the computer, or is it only available on the phone?

I have never been one to jump on the bandwagon, nor have I ever been particularly trendy. When I was still a young, naive lad-far more foolish and, as a result, far happier-I felt the pressing need to successfully navigate the social maze. It was for this very reason that I tried to emulate the behavior of some popular figures. But as I grew older, I came to realize that I was not some mass-produced copy, but a singular, irreplaceable original. And with this realization, my life changed drastically. I became more independent in my thoughts, wiser in my decisions, but also, as American psychologists would put it, less happy-more of an introvert. On the other hand, introverts often find themselves resembling white crows, because they refuse to mimic rock stars or Hollywood celebrities, to wear the trendy skirts, trousers, or jackets that everyone else is sporting. They don’t copy each other’s behavior, manners, thoughts, or actions. They simply want to be themselves and grow in their inner world, which, in many ways, contradicts the prevailing idea of socializing and conforming. But it is precisely these introverts who drive humanity’s greatest cultural and scientific progress, paying for it with their solitude. In essence, they sacrifice the comfort of fitting in, in exchange for the strength and depth of remaining true to themselves. And in doing so, they give the world ideas, art, and innovations that would never have emerged if they had chosen to follow the crowd.

Tanya, it's not at all necessary to say "thank you" to AI. It's just a clunky program. But I truly appreciate your politeness.

@EnglishCoach3Ts2 күн бұрын
Reading out loud is a great strategy, but if you struggle with pronunciation you may want to do it with someone who can help you with the pronunciation so that you don't practice incorrectly. Another way to work on this is by reading something you can also listen to

Hello dear Tanya. I have just watched your video. One of the more demanding effort is the pronountiation. I hear you and you speak so natural and easily. From my languague it implies a different collocation of the tongue, which is natural in your native pronounciation, so shadowing is absolutely necessary to do. Certainly I never will sound as a northamerican woman, But I feel better about reading as I can link more easily a word to another one. You mention the fact that we can talk to anyone with less knowledges of English. A woman asked me to help her in her studies for being examined in an Institute. What do you think about it Tania? Un abrazo de Susana de Argentina.
