I didn’t mind the characters at all, I just found them incredibly boring and shallow - not memorable at all. I just think that for what an open world game should be in 2022, the game failed on several levels. I think that on a STEEP discount with expectations in check, its a decent time waster

@CliffhangerDK I mean in terms of open world game standards in 2022 i can't really answer that as I don't play many other open world games besides the horizon zero dawn series and sometimes GTA, but fair enough. But in terms of it being a bad "saints row" game, it's just a little less wacky version of saints row 3. I don't get why people complain about the characters being "unrelatable" and shit like that, what was so relatable to the previous cast and most game characters? It's not a Great amazing game, but I'd give it a 6-7/10. Not even close to bad, especially for 7.99$. On sale RN

Dont agree with your pov on the characters (and thats fine) but I will 100% agree with you that the game is a strong 6/10! I think in todays age, it’s just popular to shit on everything because the more extreme your take is, the more views you will get. I don’t subscribe to that, I always try to be somewhat open minded and constructive in my critizism.. At the end of the day, someone spent years working on this thing, and that alone deserves some respect. Did you play the Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster? I was surprised with how good it looks!

You are probably getting the virus pop up - there should be a ”more info” or ”read more” option. You can tell it to ignore it, but its not very well explained

(I got my first pc a day ago so sorry if I don’t make sense)When I download it McAfee pops up and says there has been I virus when I click it is shows me details and the only action I can do with it is delete or restore which im not sure what those are implying

Ah yes, Mcafee. That is what experienced PC Gamers call ”bloatware” 😊 You should disable it. Personally I would remove it. But disable it tempoearily, then try again 👍🏻 Should be a manual on how to do that online somewhere (I am no Mcafee expert)

So… I worked in tech support - customer facing - in a VERY LARGE IT/PC company you know. And the coach we had there said that Microsofts own built in security is enough. So make sure that Windows Safety/Security (I forget the exact name) is activated, and you know - just don’t download dubious things or open weird mails, you will be fine :) Did you get the game to work? Ps: my response time will be longer, have some family stuff today

Exactly, its a decent “bro-game”. And that’s about it. There are a lot better games to be played though, so for me, “just fine” makes the game hard to recommend

@CliffhangerDK I cannot find anyone talking about the issues I am having on PS4. But I downloaded the game because WOA was on sale, I was excited, I played the entire game no problem. Now it crashes in the same exact spot on the loading screen for the maps that do crash. My PS4 does not feel like it is overheating when playing. Idk who/how to contact who I need to in order to figure out this problem. I desperately need the help.

@ so, I used to work in tech support. For a problem like this, I would do cross checks. Its a download - ok. Does it happen on other PS4’s - seems not. So the problem is with you (your setup or install). Does it happen if you uninstall and re-install? If you have a friend with a PS4, it would be interesting to log in there, and see if it also happens on another PS4.

Dont run it as admin - is there then a hidden windows security pop up where you need to approve the launcher? Happened to me

@@CliffhangerDK nothing happens. I attempt to run the downloader application and the blue loading throbber pops up and disappears. Nothing else comes on screen

@ragingpanda816 sounds to Me like it opening and then being blocked. Inside windows security (or something similarly named), go look for the name of the launcher and see if windows blocks it

You can start the mod or the game at will, but keep a back up of your character. The more you flip a character back and forth, the higher the risk of breaking that save. In general, if you take a character to the mod, you should not take that exact same character back to vanilla - ever.. enjoy! 🙌🏻😊

If you go to the full video, you will see people litteraly pop into existence in front of me. At release at least, the game was TERRIBLE at loading in NPC’s - well documented by Digital Foundry as well. So they ARE there - just not loaded in yet. They beamed in like its Star Trek 😅

The answer is YES - make a back up. Even the maker of the mod says so. Any mod is basically fiddling with game files, always back up a save before a mod, if it matters to you. Also - you are a beast man, well done! I struggled my first attempt, and got 100hours in before putting down my controller, well done man!

@@CliffhangerDK LOL.. thanks.. i started playing this game July 4th this year, my first rodeo in the souls genre.. so it took me about 6 months to get where i am in the game, ALL legit, no cheat engine or any mods... i did a lot of farming and explored every nook and cranny in this game... so if i was lose this save file, i would be pissed.. LOL... but i really want to play this Convergence mod... so back-up it is.. LOL.. i saw a stream yesterday featuring this mod... its what got me into it...

@VALxTheEpicGamer the mod is very well done. I didn’t have time to explore it fully (baby and all) but I was shocked how seamlessly it fits into the main game, with great quality of life changes as well!

@bradtheclaustrophobicxenomorph Honestly, I have been debating with people on this, but I am starting to come around to agreeing. Prince of Persia and Xdefiant, arguably their two strongest titles of 2024, should BOTH have been on Steam from launch. Xdefiant should have had WAY MORE marketing, especially after delaying it for 6 months. Furthermore, if just a QUARTER of the money for Skull and Bones had gone to Xdefiant, it would have looked a WHOLE LOT different. I tested Skull and Bones at launch (its one of the first reviews on this channel), and that game is the EMBODIMENT of all style no substance - like ZERO substance, just weird Online grind

For 8 bucks and with proper expectations, its actually a fair deal. You should hijack someone for CO-OP, thats gonna make it better as well ✌🏻😊

Did the same for me - keep in mind that Windows defender catches anything out of the ordinary. This is an install file used by a VERY small subset of pc users.

With the creative director from Dead Space as well as a horror setting in space, the comparisons were inevitable. On top of that, it released a few months before Dead Space Remake. I think its ok, but its not worth it at full price.

I think my biggest frustration with the game is ALL the potential I see, and how they in some regards missed the mark ever so slightly. I would LOVE to see an improved sequel, but looking at how this performed adm where the original team is at now, it will never happen sadly

@ it sucks because it wasn’t even the developers fault… it was the publisher…. They kept pushing them to release it at a certain time and even the ceo said it made them cut 4 bosses and 2 enemy types…. Publishers are a nightmare in the gaming industry now and it sucks that all they care for is money… and obviously they messed up by pushing it too early… but it is what it is… I will always support this game and glad they came out with some content with it post launch… but overall it’s a fun game and I love it… that’s all

@Skulldude567 on THAT we agree - developers need time to get things right. That being said, we don’t know what was going on behind the scenes.. Perhaps the game director promised a deadline/budget, and then went over that. Making a game is a huge complicated machine these days

@ the ceo even said he regrets not putting his foot down and telling them they need a little more time… and obviously it would have cost them profits… but it would have turned out way better than it did at launch…. But that’s how publishers are…. It really stinks… I love this game… I bought it twice for PS5 and steam…. Hopefully this series can be picked up again sometime in the future… but i remember being so hyped when the teaser dropped… it’s a beautiful game, something different. And yeah… hopefully something like this continues later…

You beat it twice - I think most people abandoned it before beating it once. Ultimately, I think the game was too poorly received for Warner Brothers to give it more attention. Its a shame, because I really agree with you - ongoing updates and DLC and minor tweaks would have done wonders!

I think thats one of its strengths really. Its pick up and play, super easy to get into for 10-20minutes. I love Metal Gear V that came out the same day, but sometimes I just want to kick some a$$. And the gameplay + the gameplay loop is super satisfying. Combat in car and on foot is impactful and fun and crunchy. It really IS underrated!

For me, that’s 80% of the problem. Fixing those as well as streamlining the gear - AND fixing the open world = 9/10

I mean - the comparison is not completely out of left field. The game takes place in Gotham, the plot revolves around Batman’s death, you are using Batman’s ressources and its made by a developer who made a Batman game earlier. That being said - for the right person, the game is ok. But there are SO MANY better games out there to play, that its kinda tough to recommend it

I didnt play Suicide Squad myself tbh. But I have seen a lot of gameplay, and just by that, I would rather play Gotham Knights. Suicide Squad is currently on life support, and it has the same issues I feel like Marvels Avengers had. A great idea squeezed into a live service game, that is now on life support
