This engine is a real disaster, very noisy and not very flexible. I prefer a good old atmo petrol engine or a diesel engine with no ad-blue.

Don’t know anyone is still but I will just ask anywhere,on the gear box in front there is a button you press when reverse,so do I use that button also when going in Gear 1,2,3,4…. Or I only use it when reversing alone?

To much sound barrier, i like to hear the engine, so any wrong gearboxing can be in a reflex fixed, you will also not be accidently in high rpm while forgetting, the sound will make the to obvious, Corsa D to E clearly lost driver to engine connection, sad :) Cars to expensive already wasted money for me. I think you a few times were in to high gearbox, the sound of the car was totally gone, but on my Corsa D (similar engine wound wise), you always hear somethign, below the perfect rpm there is a slight stutter, but you would not hear it, with to much sound barrier.

the pure tech 1.2 is a poor engine to avoid at all cost how bad they are ,peoples shouldn't to spend their money on something on that useless thing anymore

I had a 2008 for 2 years and i can tell it was pretty quiet on highway and really nice to drive but not a revolution though. If you are considering buying one beware of the engine scandal it's going through. I sold mine when it was only 25000 km but it appeared lot of motor issues for owners who drove until 50/60000 km. The timing belt would be the main cause because it bathes in oil and gasoline due to segmentation problems and deteriorates prematurely quickly and causes engine failure

My 2014 Prius 3 has done 110+ MPH in Texas several times and I think I got it to 120 once. I have 222,000 Miles on it and it Still runs great on the Interstates. On trips I live in it and leave it always running.

I drove one of these cars in Sweden. I was absolutely impressed with this car. Converting from km to miles and liters to US gallons, I got over 62 mpg for a Diesel with a 6 speed manual.

This car is only for perfect roads like this one . I drive my DS4 1.6 VTI model 2012 for 10 years in Greek roads and it is full of cracking noises and hard knocks when the car goes over the numerous bumps and potholes inside Athens. Its ride is horrible....So pity...In open roads it is an excellent cruiser.

Had mine for 9 months now and love it. Daily drive it is a beautiful place to be, comfy and quiet but it's on B-roads where these cars shine, these cars are like go karts on windey twisty roads, fantastic grip in the corners and plenty of power coming into the straights. The steering is spot on, you feel everything and really connects you to the experience of powering through a series of S-bends

I am considering buying a 2017 pure tech 110 EAT6. That is what you have? Any concerns or issues with it? How is the acceleration when trying to pass on the motorway? I prefer the BlueHDi diesel, but I can't find one in Portugal that meets my other criteria, so the 2017 pure tech 110 EAT6 is likely my best option. Timing belt has not yet been changed b/c the car has only 54,000kms. Any advice or impressions you have would be very helpful!

@@jeffpender5423 the acceleration is pretty good for a 1.2, the turbo helps a lot for an extra bit of oomph for this. These cars are sensitive to servicing so I'd religiously have a good service every year, especially oil changes, these cars love clean oil. With regards to the timing belt they are usually recommended about 80-100k but I think there was a recall or something from Citroen/DS about the belts, if you can talk the seller/garage into doing the belt before you buy it then at least you'll have peace of mind. They are prone to developing rust under the wing mirrors which Citroen/ds is very reticent about rectifying. Apart from that they are fantastic cars, try and get one with as much service history as you can

@@mathewdavies6472 Thank you Mathew for that reply! I do have the full service history, so that is reassuring. I will likely err on the side of caution and change the timing belt a bit early anyway. Unfortunately the seller would not change it for free this early for me, but it was worth asking! I have read blogs where people say the type of oil matters a lot to these cars, but then didn't say WHICH type of oil. They only said "high quality" which was a bit vague. Do you have any info on this by any chance? I am looking forward to getting it in a couple of weeks and the cabriolet option should be a bit of added fun.

@@jeffpender5423 I try to use Castrol 0w30 C2 as much as I can, can't guarantee for the garages though. Good idea on the belt, at least you'll have peace of mind it's been done.

Just bought one this week... Won't will any races but very pretty, well thought out and useful vehicle. Comfortable and easy to drive. Mine is only 5 speed and I keep looking for 6th.. Panoramic sun roof is great in summer sun. Mpg figures a bit unrealistic even if you drive like miss daisy. Overall a very versatile mpv, we love it
