I have a 2014 toyota Aygo (1.0 3 cylinder engine) with just over 50,000 miles. Its been diagnosed by toyota as using between 0.8 a 1 litre of oil per 1000 miles (tested twice so far). Toyota says its within their specification and they will not investigate unless its 1ml over 1 litre per 1000 miles... For those that didn't know, this is stated in your toyota handbook and its what you agreed to when you purchased the vehicle from toyota or its within toyota warranty !!!

I have a small 3 cylinder car and it does okay on the motorway now its got a couple of thousand miles on the clock. These tiny engines are a bit tight when new !

MR STEVE Yes, the 140 a year tax is a joke on 1 litre cars. These are good little cars, stable on the motorway and even though small engine you can sit at 70mph easily and it sounds nice. Girlfriend has one. Im after the Citroen C1 with the 1.2 engine, its very good apparently.

I have one I use to compete in sprint and hillclimbs. A 2012 one and I beat many cars I should haha loads of videos on my channel. I like the new ones and maybe an upgrade would be nice but as I said I refuse to pay that car tax on it 😟😢

@Minimalism The government changed the vehicle excise duty for all cars registered April 2017 & onwards. So pretty much every car, in the new band, costs the same to tax. Unless it's an electric car or over £40k list price.

This car is so loud inside, just like the older ones... At 90kph the noises are so annoying that you can barely hear the radio.

superacidi I have no issues with my girlfriends 18 plate Aygo. Hardly any wind noise and at 70mph you can hear the engine but its a characterful sound not loud or unpleasant. Its a 3 cylinder dont forget.

I've got a 16 plate 4 door. I've driven on motorways at 80mph and still been able to have a regular conversation with a passenger.

A fantastic sound. Almost classic Italian in its sound too. I'm amazed at the smoothness of the 3 cylinder unit too. Intrusive noise has never been an issue.
