Why use the dubbing if you were going to cover it with foam. Did it really make any difference to the body size?

Definitely going to give this one a try - thanks for sharing! P.S. The link in the email that I received goes to a damsel pattern, might want to check that.

Idk why I cant tie these and make them look right. It may be in part because I almost never tie nymphs without a bead, but I absolutely cannot get the thorax/head to look right with these. And I've got like 4 colors of this dubbing. Part of the problem is the only curved hooks I have are scud hooks and it's a pain in the ass tying anything other than scuds because of the shank angling back down before the hooks eye, where as other curved nymph hooks are pretty much done curving by the time you get to the eye

This is a great pattern & I’m wondering if you can add a very bright silver bead for the “more bling factor” along with using a BRITE WIRE wrap for more shine & protecting the materials?? A TOTALLY GREAT PATTERN when the fish only want to eat plankton that day!!!

So, based on the commentary it sounds like this is a good pattern for lakes? Or do you use it in streams as well?
