This is so obvious - If he'd just try to stay more centered and upright on the bike, and maybe slow down a little, he wouldn't be near as likely to drag his elbow and knee going thru a corner. Simple!

If you watch his races, that's how he slides in every turn to roughen his elbows. He is a professional Maui Thai fighter in his spare time.

A lot of people give Marc Marquez credit for reinventing modern riding styles but Stoner was elbow down long before anyone else

Stoner won on a Ducati that was terrible to ride. Even the Ducati principal admitted this and he just couldn't believe how the championship was won.

What a master of thrashing a monster, wished he was still on the grid. Good to see him and hear the more technical stuff when commentating than having to put up with the usual guff.

Gifted. The only rider to work out how to work the Ducati of the period. Gave them a World Championship. Suffered from chronic fatigue syndrome but conquered that too. Legend.

He was the only rider who could get that pig of a Ducati to turn. Made Ducati think the bike was better than it really was. Shame they only realized it after he left.

At the time I remember he took the championship off the unbeatable Valentino Rossi, and, being Australian I remember it being a very exciting time for motogp, he should be remembered for being one of the G.O.A.T, brilliant..
