From 2006 to 2010, I worked for a trucking company that hauled military equipment. One day I got a call to pick up a load near Colorado Springs, and take it near the King's Bay Navy Base, Georgia, just north of Jacksonville, Georgia. When I got to Colorado Springs, I was to call a phone number, and was directed off I-25 into a dirt road. I was to drop the trailer in a certain spot, leave 6 tie-down straps, and a tarp and bungees. I was to go back to Colorado Springs bobtail (no trailer) and wait until the next day. I got a phone call, directed to my trailer, nicely tarped small and relatively light load (less than 10,000 lbs). I'm to back under the trailer, and follow a specific route, with check-ins at proscribed times. I was NOT to touch the tarps other than to replace any bungees that break, nor was I to touch the straps. I was NOT to look under the tarp. Paperwork said "misc vehicle parts". Got to King's Bay; reverse of what I just did. Drop the trailer, go to a nearby truck stop, wait for a phone call, go get the trailer - straps neatly wound, bungees neatly bundled, tarp neatly rolled. An envelope under the tarp with $5,000 in $20s; I was not to tell the boss about this - a "reward" for following directions EXACTLY. After everything was said and done, I asked "what did I have?" I was told it might or might not have been a nuclear warhead, it might or might not have been a nuclear pile for a submarine (King's Bay is a nuclear sub base; they supply nuclear materials - missiles, fuel - to the subs), it might or might not have been miscellaneous vehicle parts. The guy added I was under constant surveillance the entire trip. Meantime, I heard about a heavily armed nuclear transport convoy not too far (usually 1-4 hours) ahead of me .....

This convoy is passing about 1 mile south of my house, 10 miles east of Great Falls, Montana. They are usually escorted by 2 helicopters as well. The unit shown is typical for delivering warheads to and from base to launch site. At one time there were 350 launch sites serviced by Malmstrom Air Force Base near Great Falls. Some as far as 100 miles away. These guys are all-business and do a great job. When they bring warheads into the base from the manufacturer or other long distance moves: they are escorted by private security with very menacing black Suburbans and vans. Lots of antennas an lots of personnel with big guns. These folks are Super-All-Business and as civilians we are proud to have these fine people in our midst. 🇺🇸

About 30 years ago I used to see something similar to that when I lived near the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station (Southern California). Driving down to the beach in the pre-dawn hours to go surfing at dawn and occasionally see those on Pacific Coast Highway or coming down Seal Beach Blvd from the 405 freeway to get onto the base. I was pretty sure there was some serious firepower inside those trucks.
