@@linaali-em1cp Hello. Thank you so much for your interest. Losing these precious little fur-friends has been the hardest thing for me to bear. Most breeders do not keep their adult kitties after they are no longer breeding. I made one attempt at finding homes for a couple of my retired kitties, and it just upset me too much, so I kept them all. I don’t regret doing that, but in the past few years I’ve had to face losing them to one thing or another. Sequoia was the first with cancer in her lower jaw. Gypsy Rose I lost in 2020. She was almost 15, Simba Kahn and Sahara a few years later. You asked specifically about Nugget. She left me at the age of 19 about 2 years ago. I lost Kalahari that same year. I lost two cats this year-Nomad (a total surprise) as he was still relatively young, and Tiny Bear (Nugget’s sister), passed just a couple of weeks ago (this month), she was over 20 years old. I now have 6 cats … most are fairly young with one exception. Sirocco is 15 and dealing with health issues. Mariah is next in age at 11 1/2 … Then the four younger kitties (Sitka, Krakatoa, Bug,and Maisie). I hope they will be with for a long time.

Thank you so much for detailed replying I was so heartbroken reading your comment it is hard to deal with losing them after those long years they were so adorable kitties and you were taking care of them severly my ragdoll cat named Cola passed away months ago he was a year old diagnosed with water in lungs I saw him dying in front of my eyes which was so difficult we buried him near our house and till now I feel pain whenever I see his toys but surprisingly after his death we found a cat outside our house seemed to be abandoned or lost we asked all the neighbors about her owner but found nothing so we adopted her and named her muffin she is 2 years old according to the vet

@@LoriBurton-e3d Gabapentin is often used for this. Of course this means getting your vet involves as it is an Rx. If he’s badly matted, it may be better to have him professionally trimmed down. Some vets will do this or there may be professional groomers in your area who handle cats. Good luck.

@@geoffreylamberts Thank you. I made this video 7 years ago. I am now down to *only* 7 due to one thing and another. I still have one of my original Persians (she’s over 20). It’s always sad, but they enrich my life.

@@TCGLounge I agree, it’s a bandaid fix. I now have the “knob protector” things installed… they work okay and are not too unsightly, but SERIOUSLY, the base problem really should be addressed and no new stoves sold should be dangerous.
