Not sure but, this makes me think about my paintings. I created an idea in 1984 called Imaginism. Paintings that allow everyone to see them differently. With no input or influence from the artist, after the work is finished. In other words the work is a collaboration, between the artist and the individual observer. The observer finishes the work with their imagination. Taking abstract, expressionism, impressionism, etc. into one form. One that's created by the artist and observer's imaginations together. In an intentional way. Some have said they see an image that looks photographic, in a painting that another may compare to a more abstract or expressionistic work. The degree to which people see them differently is incredible, and the personal things they see. Which, is why I thought of it. Because even ideologies are relative, and never absolutes, even if they should be, like morals for example.

Very cool. If you're were behind Labyrinth. Thank you. It's really helped our Avant Garde output, as a professional artist, who's also equally immersed in music, as well as visual Art. We've taken the Labyrinth to some incredible places.😀Would love to experiment on one of these too.

I noticed you do a lot of DIY and wonder what your take on this method of obtaining/using instruments is in relation to your videos on Marx/capitalism? I think it may have been a Walter Benjamin essay that presents a critique of capitalism's tendency to dislocate the worker's experience of labour from the end product. It would be interesting to see a video on this!

Does anyone know of a Eurorack equivalent of the Peak and Trough module, literally pulling my hair out about whether it's 'min/max' or 'and/or'... Wonderful channel though, looking forward to more content.

Yes, what you are looking for is called analog logic. There are a few modules out there that do it, you need to be aware that most eurorack logic modules are binary. Mystic circuits makes one (Ana currently in hiatus), whimsical wraps maded one (not currently in production), Xaoc has a current one that is available. There's a good modwiggler thread about ' geeking out on analog logic'

I came to synthesis and eventually to modular during the pandemic after 2 decades of musical practice as an improviser musician with acoustic and electronics instruments. Surprise and imperfect feedback are driving force in my music. I really liked your discussion as it formalized some of the things that bothered me with some aspect of generative music, mostly its esthetical previsibility. It explains many of the choices I made in my music!

What do you mean by climate change? Also, generally speaking, the problem is not a specific technology. The problem is how that technology is used. Nazism, Marxism, and Islamism are all failed ideologies. Capitalism with a good safety network and respect for liberty and human rights is the best hope for humanity.

Hello there. I love your channel and regularly come back to it. Today, though, I realized there's a mistake in this video that I need to correct : 1080° is 12 stages, not 3. Each stage (= each allpass filter) shifts the signal by 90°. Hence why 2 stages are needed to make a notch (180° = phase cancellation), 4 stages to make 2 notches, 6 stages for 3 notches, etc. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYqpY5trp95mobs

Absolutely ridiculous. A super privileged guy who bought shitload of highest-end synthesizers that don't need "any skill" to do what they are intended to do and practically have value only in being extremely expensive and hence in discriminating people that can't afford to buy them - talking about communism and implying some kind of thought provoking enlightened discourse while throwing meaningless buzzwords😆😆😆
