My favorite work pants are the wranglers cotton insulated idk the specific name :/. They don’t got the fancy pockets but they do have more pockets then regular work pants. I do wanna buy a pair of HH tho. Just got HH rain bibs and I’m really happy with the purchase already because they have more than one freaking pocket😂

Hey this is really inspiring. I'm looking to start an apprenticeship as electrician so I can have something more stable and engaging whilst pursuing acting (I can't stand hospitality anymore + pay is bad). Please can you make a more in depth video on how you balance the two / how flexible is being an electrician? Ps I'm called Lex too

Well Enjoyed the video🙌 I'm not really sure if it is the best time to ask but, I was wondering if I can create better distribution by helping you edit your videos and also make highly engaging shorts out of them?

What's the easiest way to be electrician in the U.S.? I'm new here in California and wanna be electrician. Is it possible with 1 year of training to be employed? Is there such training?

Hi! I enjoyed my first vlog I saw of yours. I subscribed. Q. At what age did you start your trade (same thing as apprenticeship?)? Q. At what time - age are you / were you -a full-blown electrician? Q . What’s the oldest (age) you have ever seen someone one start their journey in pursuit of your career? Thanks! Josh

I can never find women who look like me in pants that actually fit. I'm 5'3, curvy (170) and DONT have a flat stomach. As a midsize woman with curves... I can't find a single brand with a stretchy waist and room for a butt...

I agree with you. It’s hard to find good pants these days. I have the Helly Hansen Oxfords 4X stretch, built-in kneepads. It’s a Lifesaver, and these pants are among the best you can ever buy, the best work pants in the line-up. I bought them for 200 bucks, which is worth a deaI. I highly recommend!!!!!

Lexi!! Instant follow girl 🔌 I just started going down the electrician rabbit hole last night, kind of by accident. When they say representation matters, YOU are it! I never even considered going into a trade because I’ve never seen or heard a girl that looks like me that’s into what I’m into in those fields. I looove your point about not dimming your femininity or other parts of yourself to please others or fit a mold. Stoked to hear more of your perspectives!

Lexi, thank you for this video! I’m a woman who started in the Fashion industry, and now I work in Manufacturing…. There is a dire deficit of well fitting and practical (nevermind feminine or fashionable!) women’s work clothing. Could you review Duluth? Dovetail? Xena work boots?

I dunno. Maybe get the fuck over it? It's the same shit we say to the men and to little bitch men that can use a hammer. Ever tried running 4" rigid? Women are a life safety issue. They are not as strong, not as capable, and spend more time bitching then working.. By some strange chance one in maybe a hundred women can do the job they earn their place. But they also give as much as they take. They don't run online to bitch about it.

Hi, I am looking into a foundations program for electrician, primarily the one at Sprott Shaw because it has monthly start dates and WorkBC is willing to help me with part of the tuition cost. I was wondering any advice you have? This is the first video I have seen of yours so I will look there too I guess. The last two years or so I have been working as a flagger and I was wondering. How does vacation work? In traffic control vacay is always paid out so if you book anytime off it is not covered. Also, some contracts I worked on in flagging were like 6 days a week for a year unless renewed and you HAD to be there. You better be dying to miss a day. But some other jobs were very on call and you didn't feel tied down. So very curious of the work/life balance. I like working a lot. Working less then 60 hours a week feels weird to me but all my family live back home and I am the only Canadian born one. I really miss them and hope to see them even if it was only 2-4 weeks every couple years. Would that be an issue in this industry? Would really look forward to your advice since you also live in the lower mainland. Happy I found your content! ty :)

Thank you for this video Lexi! How difficult did you find the technical side of the job to accustom to? I’ve never been great at maths and seeing even my partner studying for his electrician exams and seeing the content it low key intimidated me! I’m not too stressed about the physical side, more understanding the job itself if I ever decided to pursue it!
