My parents had the same year and same color, but it was a Plymouth Voyager with exterior wood grain look. I thought it was cool. I think I remember it costing my parents $11,000.

hi i now have a 1988 plymouth grand voyager it has a basic cluster and that thing can move! it’s a 3.0l also but has a 3 speed so it picks up well. if you can ever get your hands on a 3 speed you should put one in this van here. that’s if your 4 speed let’s go.
@Nightrider14502 жыл бұрын
Why would u want the 3 speed? They beg for an extra gear at 60mph

How do we know if we should buy a new keypad? <Mine all of a sudden stopped working and no longer illuminates. But, how do we know it may just be a short, the transmitter or a control module? Those keypads are around $60 which to me is not wasteable $$$. Thank you for your video either way! 😃
@JasonWW20003 жыл бұрын
You can check that the key pad works by removing door panel, unplug the 6 wire connector. Then use a DMM that beeps when the probes touch (continuity test). The solid black wire is common. So touch it and any other wire in the connector. Then press the 5 switches. Make sure each switch makes contact. 5 switches, 5 wires plus solid black as the common. If it checks out, it's not your problem. Then you'd need to check upstream components which I've not done. I just pulled out my key pad and several copper discs had come unglued and the copper contacts on the board were corroded. I removed the loose discs, cleaned the remaining ones and the contacts. Then I added a thin layer of dielectric grease and reassembled. There are normally 4 pads per switch. Luckily, I had at least one good pad per switch, so it's now working. If it goes out again, I'll replace the key pad. Good luck.

@@JasonWW2000 Great! Thank you so much! Hopefully it won’t be too difficult to pull apart to get to the electrical components. AE
@JasonWW20003 жыл бұрын
@@artest7 I did find it easier to pull up the trim panel by the mirror first and work my way towards the rear. I used plastic tools to pop the clip in the rear. Be careful of damaging the paint. Be careful to not scratch the black vertical window frame as there are clips molded into the aluminum trim panel.

I have a 1987 Voyager, exactly the same colors. I have wire wheels and whitewalls, my vent window controls are rotary dials in the ceiling that you turn by hand. No power windows or locks. 107,000 miles. It is in extremely good condition, but has a couple of small dents in roof and hood. You can see it by googling cars and bids 1987 plymouth voyager. I love my van too! I have had an NSX, supercharged Jaguar, Corvettes, Mustang Cobra, S2000, etc, but this van is really cool!
