I agree. You don't many of see these around anymore. It took me a good 7 years of searching, but they are out there. Most of these vans were in really rough condition while others were in decent shape. This one happened to be in really good shape but need all wear and tear items replaced (tune up., exhaust, brakes, shocks, chassis bits, a/c, etc). I basically went through the whole van getting it to the condition it is in now. It is worth it in my opinion. They were the "item" to have back in the 80's and in order for me experience what it was like, I have to fix it up. It has been a joy to own it.

fluffylilwyvern I’m glad to hear that. If I could I dream of owning a 1994 Plymouth Grand Voyager with the wood panneling. I like the wood and column shifter. As well as the three doors of the older minivans. They also looks really comfortable in front. Although the rear on your van has no headrests. Not so sure how comfortable those are.

Wow that one is in amazing condition! I'm from The Netherlands and these are extremely rare here. They were sold as Chrysler Grand Voyager here, and my parents had one when I was growing up. Even more rare, ours had the same red interior. I've never seen another with the red interior here. Ours was extremely similar to yours actually! The only difference being the exterior. Ours wasn't two tone and was finished in the same aubergine color you have as secondary color. A beautiful color btw. It had 2 very narrow golden stripe stickers across the sides. For some reason it was on Jeep rims, though I don't really remember what they looked like. Either way, I miss this car. My dad does too; even my sister does I think. Unfortunately Dutch weather hadn't been kind to it and rust got the better of it about 20 years ago. Enjoy yours! It's wild seeing one in this shape, seeing they're long rusted away here by now.

This brought back memories! My parents bought a 1990 Grand Voyager SE brand new with the exact same two tone paint. It had the 3.3L OHV V6 (first year of that engine.) They drove it from 1991 until 2005 and sold it when it had close to 200,000 miles on it. They loved it! Thanks for sharing! Keep this thing on the road, there aren’t many of them left!

I have a 1987 Voyager, exactly the same colors. I have wire wheels and whitewalls, my vent window controls are rotary dials in the ceiling that you turn by hand. No power windows or locks. 107,000 miles. It is in extremely good condition, but has a couple of small dents in roof and hood. You can see it by googling cars and bids 1987 plymouth voyager. I love my van too! I have had an NSX, supercharged Jaguar, Corvettes, Mustang Cobra, S2000, etc, but this van is really cool!

My mother had this exact van! Ordered new in winter 89'. I believe the color combo was called Claret Red and Dark Cherry.

My family and I had an '88 Grand Caravan LE with sky blue exterior and blue interior over 20 years ago. My parents were the 2nd owners of the van and they bought it used in 1992 and I was brought home from the hospital in it one year later. They've owned it until 1998 when it broke down on the 118 freeway in Mission Hills, California. It was then replaced by a brand new green 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan SE. I really wish we still had the '88 and I would've used it as my first vehicle, but it sadly never happened. If it did happen, I would definitely take really good care of it.

You should see about getting one. I search the eastern half of the U.S. on Craigslist to find mine. Like you my parents bought a 1985 Caravan LE when it came out, but like all minivans, they just get destroyed from wear and tear by kids, pets, and all. Mechanically the '85 was a good running van but body and interior wise it was worn out. They sold the van back in 2004. If I had gotten a hold of it I would've taken care of it as well. There is something about the nostalgia with these van. I get a lot of comments every time I take it out. It is a joy to own.

It took 7 years of searching (every location on Craigslist) to find one this shape and price ($1500). Traveled about 1500 miles to get it but worth it. Just keep an eye out. The ones that are in good shape like mine do pop up. You'll find one.

One first generation only has 78k KM on the clock (49k miles), never had anything else in my (car)life. Beautiful van. I used to car pool to school in one identical to yours back in 1990/1992. Only it was the short wheel base. I now own a 1993 Plymouth Grand Voyager se and I love it!

It is on hold for the moment due to Hurricane Sally hitting the area (Pensacola Florida) directly a couple weeks back. Everyone around town is still cleaning up all the debris that is left from the storm.

I couldn't part ways with my van. It took years of me searching until I came across it (twice) for sale. Keep searching and you'll find your dream van. It's out there. I found the best place to search is Craigslist since these vans are always posted there. If you are willing to drive anywhere in the country it is best to check major cities in each state. You will come across a few of these vans.

Actually the first owner had it the majority of the time. The second owner had it for about 3 years. Ironically the second owners purchased this exact van a day before I called the dealership that had it for sale. 3 year later when the second owners posted the van for sale I just happened to see the ad (on the first day) and essentially bought it basically sight unseen.
