If you go barefoot regularly your feet toughen up. Not just the skin on the soles but also the muscles within your foot that help give you balance and grip. You also get used to different temperatures, it's never too hot or cold. Honestly, stick with it and you'll wish you could become a full-time barefooter.

I love your take on this story. I appreciate the reminder. The key is recognizing that piece of wood floating by to get on.

How long have you been walking bearfoot? I'm on year 2 and can say it's a long process dud. 😂 I love it no pain no gain.

I don't ever hike barefoot, but I wanted to test myself. I like being barefoot around the yard and stuff. Definitely wouldn't recommend this for a first barefoot hiking experience.

Great video! Absolutely love the Appalachian mountains, recently spent some time around Mount Mitchell doing some drone work, I hope you were not effected by Helene and we can see more content soon!

I was lucky not directly affected. I plan on getting some more content out soon!

@@LeviSpangler would love to come and colab with you sometime, really happy to hear you were not effected as bad from the hurricane, I come through North Carolina every year for a drone competition in South Carolina, it’s during Labor Day weekend, would be an absolute treat to meet up with a local and get a tour to the best flight spots and views!

like that older dude said. theres a lot of people that stop at the sign for the table rock summit. there are still a lot of people that make it to the end. been up there when there was over 50 up there at the time. and i had passed a bunch of people on the way up. that waterfall to the north of the reservoir i believe is slickling falls.

always cracks me up every time vloggers do a shot where they pass by the camera, IRL they have to go back and pick it up XD just my thoughts I've done it also , and it's funny when you think about it.

Check out Rocky Face Mountain in Hiddenite, NC, home to the annual “Vertical Mile Challenge.” it’s basically Stone Mountain’s little brother- you go right up the rock face in a similar fashion.

When my ex left me in 2013, I figured we must have been aimed in two different directions and getting further apart so when he started seeing others behind my back, we were far enough apart to make the split. Now I'm 60, I'm better off alone, I am not dependent on anybody else and my options are wide open, I'll never have that intimacy anymore but I have my freedom.

Fun camping trip, the Xterra is a sweet camper. I looked at getting one of those. Good points about camping, it is so much easier in the West. In my 4Runner just put mattress on the floor to keep that head room. It is really amazing, you can make it work someway with whatever vehicle you have.
