The new loadout system was probably the most criticized part of this game when it came out.

Long tom weighs as much as a locust mech.

I usually run up the border of the map to link up with the friendlys camp at delta. Keeping wide of the base to not trigger the enemy swarms. Take out the turret control towers and vehicles(the ones with the little dish on top). Use the mfb in the center of the map to refit. Stuff like that.

Now you got big mechs and the weapons to arm them. Those paired lbx 10s are just the thing for a mission with so many enemy vehicles.

I really liked these games, even the Cheesy FMV- the hammy acting fits the universe; Steiner's are not known for being calm and level headed.

I thought for sure you would blow yourself up going after that cougar hung up on the fuel tanks

I put 4 er large laser on the awsome. Little less punch but handles the heat better.

can you please run though how you were able to get this to run on your computer??? I tried a method I found on another playalong. either there was something missing from the instructions or i messed up

Man i miss this game. Boosted jumps, change from walking to wheels, melee. Highly customized loadouts. One hell of a theme too.

I bring Long range weapons on this mission because you are chasing down enemies who are withdrawing ahead of you. The light guass rifle and lrms work well.

That f"ing dropship. Almost rage quit once when it head shot me at 900 meters. Take out those mobile power vehicles fast!

granted the first convoy intercept mission you blew up everything, so I can see how you made the mistake. Shoot first ask questions later.

I believe there is a hidden mfb on this map.

a good move is to take out the pair of vultures... this makes this mission a lot easier!!!

I had a lot of trouble with this one.

I was quite familiar with this mission because it is the mission you play in the demo they relased.

The Uziel was my favorite mech in the game. I used to do some serious damage with it!

Dont forget to strip the weapons from the unused mechs!

Lbx 10 is a handy weapon.

I really want to know the punchline to Casey's joke.

It been a while since I played this but I think this is one of the maps I had to flank out around the base and come in from the back.

Disable turrets by taking out control towers and those small vehicles with the dish antennas.

Tip: keep a eye out for mech repair bays hidden in out of the way spots on maps. A few bases have them too.

That catapult is a good brawler thanks to the large laser.

The tanks are actually tanky

I don’t know if anyone’s pointed this out to you yet, but if you strip the mechs you are not using in the mech lab, their weapons are added to the pool of available stuff you can use. I.e: if you have just salvaged a cougar that has 2 clan er large lasers and 2 clan LRM 10s, stripping it will dismount those weps, so you can use them on the mechs you are actually using.

Since the convoys route is a loop, I used to cut across the map and come at them from ahead instead of tracking them down from behind.
