Mechwarrior 4: Vengeance, Op 4 Mission 5

A convoy carrying prisoners loyal to our cause was being sent to a location for possible execution. We needed to intercept the convoy, and rescue the prisoners. An enemy lance of mechs came in to stop us, but they were no match.
This is an attempted full playthrough of Mechwarrior 4: Vengeance on regular difficulty. I am saving higher difficulties for future playthroughs. This is a repacked version of the game compatible with Windows 10 as part of the "Mechwarrior Quadrology" (google it if interested in getting it). All footage was taken from my stream on Twitch.tv. Man I've been struggling for the past 4 days to try and get mw4 to run to no avail, how'd ya manage?

This is what I did. I googled "Mechwarrior Quadrology", and clicked the link for oldgamesdownload dot com. Scrolled down a bit and clicked "Mechwarrior Quadrology (3.51GB)". Downloaded the file package and just installed the Mechwarrior 4 games/expansions. The game launched with no further tweaks or modifications.

Alas i was not so lucky. Launcher runs fine. But attempting to launch it closes either instantly or never responds. Cursed to never enjoy the older games I am.

One option is to buy a Windows XP business computer off ebay used for around $130. Then buy a graphics card for gaming and install it. Just make sure the computer has the slot for the graphics card. Another thing worth a try is a virtual machine, like Virtualbox.

@@LiverbestGibs ended up getting it working by forcing the run prompt to start it with a few extra tidbit commands at the end. Much appreciated for the advice to download the quadrology 🙏
