Great video! There is an old Kendall service station thats still standing in Eldred PA. It was turned into a restaurant and abandoned since. Its still standing at a great location too. Eldred, PA is about 30 miles away from Bradford, PA the home of Kendall refinery, the countries first oil company. You can still see the original building (gas station, service station) building, they just built walls up around it and incorporated the original tile roof. It was a restaurant then Fox's PIzza took over and then it was abandonded and has been since about 2005. If you stripped away the newer construction to reveal the original Kendall station, it could still be converted over to a hamburger joint.

When I was a kid Olvera St was a flourishing historical site…… now I suspect the city will just tear it down and put in a a Chinese market

My mom frequented there growing up when she would visit family. She still loves to go there. I hope the preservation efforts will keep it alive. I think the biggest issue is that much of what you'd find at Olvera Street is now found in other places. It was a known source of good food and cultural treasures. Now many of those are on every other corner.

I remember I was asked to leave the property when I was trying to take pictures.. they said I couldn’t be there. I told them what are you hiding in that house!? They said nothing. I responded with sure.. I’m gonna see inside eventually lol..

They never fully opened after COVID and opted to no longer use the full facility. It's such a cool place and it was hard to see the cool old space not being used. The business is currently for sale and I really hope they open it all back up and use it.
