This reminded me of why Frank Miller became famous. A good illustration work doesn't need to be aesthetically beautiful every time and for everyone, sometimes it just needs to fulfill the objective of whoever hired you. This illustrator you mentioned manages to do beautiful and efficient work, but even if her work wasn't this beautiful she would be successful if she was efficient in what they pay her to do. People on TikTok don't understand this, they don't understand anything about the bizarre world of the market, I myself don't understand.

@sadboygum12 күн бұрын
@@Temomemo-yt i assume you’re talking about her drawing methods? i didn’t state that she used digital or traditional in the video. that said, she uses both. traditional for the base manga inking, and uses digital for color pages and cover illustrations.
@Syiepherze13 күн бұрын
When I learned to draw Western-style cartoons with a pencil as a kid, the bolder graphite lines were always reflective and indented into the page because of how much pressure I was applying in order to convey a sense of line weight. Fast forward to middle school when I started drawing in an anime style (and drawing digitally, or with pens) and until now, I just cannot get myself to draw the thin, clean lineart employed in so many illustrated works (unless I'm drawing something with a lot of detail). It just feels so restrictive and sterile honestly lmao
