Steve: thanks for your quick reply. I am seriously thinking of moving out of the USA due to the Orange epidemic currently going on. My question is there Health Insurance to purchase? If yes can you provide name or link. I am currently in good health but have pre-existing conditions. Financially I am very good especially if I moved there. From what I saw 👀 I loved it better than Thailand 🇹🇭. Thanks again

You are most welcome! 😃 I currently use Safety Wing Insurance. They have an easy to use app that will be available on your phone that you can quickly pull up if you need to provide it to a hospital. They have direct customer support on the app and can get you set up quickly with the hospital in serious,costly situations. For pre-existing they will not cover any costs. They also offer extra insurance for your personal property such as laptops and equipment (there is a limit on the amount you can claim). Other insurance providers worth looking up that hospitals have worked with are Cigna Global Health Insurance, Allianz Health Insurance for Expats Abroad, Luma Health Insurance in Cambodia, Safety-Net health Insurance and there are also insurance brokers that can help you such as Cambodia Health Insurance Advisors. I would recommend looking at all these options(all have websites) and any other you come across and see what best fits your needs. I hope this was helpful and I’m excited for your move to Cambodia someday! Thank you for supporting the channel and I wish you all the best in your decision to move to Cambodia in the near future. Have a wonderful day 🙏

@SteveExpatLivingInCambodia Thank you the great feedback. I will begin research ASAP. My best bet is the Insurance brokers to get full coverage. I'll have Insurance back in the United States but need cover there. I may visit at the end of 2025 or early 2026 and if I do I'll let you know. The least I could do if take you to a nice dinner. Thanks again

Steve: How would you rate the Hospitals , doctors, available medicine etc... Any help would be appreciated
@SteveExpatLivingInCambodia2 күн бұрын
Thank you for watching! In my experience the hospitals I went to were modern, clean and big with 3 to 6 receptionists so I was able to check in quickly without an appointment. Taking blood was done within 10 minutes after check in with the same day results($50 USD or less). Medications were easy to obtain for example you can get medications without a prescription for high blood pressure and antibiotics (if I had any stomach infection, etc). They have state of the art medical equipment at the hospitals I went to. I got same day full physical exam including a chest x-ray. Waiting times were 90% less than in Canada without having to book an appointment. The pharmacy such as UCare is very good with many medications and they will call another store and have a certain medication delivered to their store if they are out of stock (I suggest calling a Ucare pharmacy before coming to make sure they have your mediation in stock). Medications can generally be obtained without a prescription such as high blood pressure, pain and anxiety medication(best to call in advance). Overall, in my experience for minor issues the hospitals, doctors and access to medications were good. More moderate to severe issues I have no experience. Hope this helps. Thank you for this great comment. Have a wonderful day 🙏

some thing else you need to know about cambodia. we cambodia dont give a care what or whos country better than cambodia. many other country they compare theyre food to cambodia food. they think its a contest. we cambodia we never acre period. food is just a person opinion. for example they say thai food is better thats because they like thai country. some say chinese food is better thats because they like chinese country or the japanese. see its just opinion. when i watch people saying and comparing theyre food to cambodian i laugh really hard. theyre like clowns. since you live theyre and enjoy everything cambodia have to offer. thats why i wanted to share some knowledge. some tips. on my other comment. if cambodian really care about all the BS other country given them. cambodian people would of try to make it better.

Check out the night market by the riverside. When you enter you go through all the stalls selling clothes and other items but when you get past there it opens up to this huge open space covered with all these carpets surrounded by various food stalls. Order your food, take a seat on he carpets and your food will arrive! Great vibe tourists and locals alike.

thats the correct way to eat a curry. its either with bread or noodle. those are the choice and not just any noodle. it has to be with and always rice noodle. the noodle they served you that kind. not brown noodle not yellow noodle not red noodle. its has to be that particular white rice noodle

Hey Steve. I’m enjoying your vlogs immensely. I’m 73 with zero children and am barely enjoying my retirement. I’m close to committing to Cambodia. How can I find out what kind of American television is available there? Might sound trivial but I like to lay around and relax watching Fox News and all sports of every kind.
@SteveExpatLivingInCambodia13 күн бұрын
Hi, yes you can get American channels in Cambodia. Some internet providers offer American television packages as well. Other companies also offer American and international television including news and sports channels. Some even over IP TV with plug in to your Tv. Once you are in Cambodia you can get it set up the next day like I did easily. I also like to relax and watch my American news and sports so I know what you mean when you say you would like it. I hope this vlog inspires you to move to Cambodia. It’s the best decision I ever made. You will be welcomed and supported with open arms. It’s such a beautiful place but most importantly you will always have support of the people. I wish you well in your retirement and hope to see you in Cambodia enjoying life. Have a wonderful day! All the best! -Steve 🙏
