In the history of extremely bad ideas This one has to rank right there at the top.

I am from Costa Rica the country south of Nicaragua. You forgot to mention William Walker the filibuster that was taking over Nicaragua but Costa Rica defeated and exiled from both Costa Rica and Nicaragua. You also forgot to mention that Costa Rica owns a large pacific side of the San Juan River making it imposible to build a canal. Few years back the Costa Rican government put a law suite in the international court because several Nicaraguan soldiers invaded the island Caleros in the San Juan River that belong to Costa Rica, Nicaragua lost that suit and up to this day they have failed to pay that fine

1:20 Condensator? Wtf is that? I've been working in nuclear power plants all my life, and have NEVER heard anyone call a condenser a "condensator", not even in error, where did you come up with that? Can't even bother watching the rest of this nonsense.

I don’t think it will replace the ambassador bridge. The new bridge assuredly will be more accessible, especially to truck drivers that come from Chicago and are heading for Toronto. I think the bridge at Port Huron will be less active as well. That’s where I cross. I hope it will be successful. A lot depends on the efficiency of the bridge And customs.

At first I thought this would probably be impossible, but if the water level is only 100m different it means the maximum pressure differential is a third as much. This would dramatically reduce the cost to only about 5 times the average dam. The difference between 300m of head pressure and 100m head pressure completely changes everything. I’ve completely changed my mind. I’m actually certain this could be done if the head difference was limited to 100m.

As someone wo was at Monaco a couple times, I can say, even in there museums they advertise greenwashing campaigns. If they would want to reduce there greenhouse emissions they could stop the every 7. minutes helicopter ride to the nearest Airport.

Most realistic way to get more land? Research ways to terraform the Sahara and other deserts. Research new forms of energy, because with energy can be used to desalinate water, which can be used to turn an area greener.

It is a true shame the world is so radiophobic. One reactor complex would have cost just as much, used a very small fraction of the land, and produced three to six times the energy for lower environmental impact and risk.

The reason it’s not built is because the time, funding, material, current technology and land area It’s impossible for us to build these objects yet our current biggest building isn’t even at 1km Yea that gap is huge for building technology so considered we’ll never see this be built in person.
