Very late question but I used to do this when Steroid was allowed back in 2020 or so, and it was easy with the attack tick timers on the boss. Now that they're gone and I'm back in tob I'm trying to learn this, but I notice when I'm nearing a corner, and when I attack the boss and it drags me to one of the adjacent tiles (not the 8 around the boss you have marked) that the spitting sound stops. I can only hear the spitting on those 8 tiles and the 1 tile in between each pair, but not on the corners. But everyone in my group says they can hear it everywhere in melee. Is there a way to fix this...?

I have always been confused by the "start on the spitting sound" because I never knew what the spitting sound was since Xarpus' sounds all sound like they could be the hawk before tuah. This video finally had the in game sound loud enough I could hear the "thew" sound which is super quiet compared to xarpus' other noises. I'm on board now! Thanks!

whats the trick to getting the butterfly back after the staircase? it always feels like the orbs stay too long for you to start butterflying and he gets a hit off. Any way around that or are you always taking one melee?

Honestly this is a great guide that really simplifies it way too many guides over complicate this shit lol.

Probably the best guide I have ever watched in almost a minute and so simple uses audio queues. He could go more in depth for it too with extra tips and Probably still make it under 5 mins. Channel deserves lot more recognition. I can send this to all my dumb friends 😂 because we know damn well 70% of the community isn't the best pvm. Great explanation of how to set it up with the yellow tiles. My method for when to start staircasing is ON THE TICK the symbol lights up. If you start your staircase on the 4th light you will always make it no matter what level the room is. So watch the lights and as soon as the 4th one hits you should be clicking at the same time it lights up.

I tried doing it but I always get hit on the 3rd staircase i'm not sure why but the first two i dont get hit

BY THE WAY, if you're STILL having trouble figuring out the timing on when to click to start the staircase (as was I after I rewatched this video a few times), TRY THIS: Count EACH TICK (starting as the corners light up), if you are good at 1tick flicking this is probably pretty easy since you have the quadrant lights to visually help you stay on the right count. In this case (watch from time 1:03), since each quadrant's light is 2 ticks after the next, if you start on "one" as you see the yellow light up (cuz that's the first one), each other quadrant lights up on the rest of the odd numbers, so start at "one" when the first quadrant lights up and count outloud: 'two', 'three' (when you say 3 the white quandrant is lighting up), etc. You make your click (as did the person recording) AS YOU SAY "NINE". (For a level 4+ start clicking when you say "ELEVEN") ALSO, if you are able to dodge some but not all, that means you accidentally stayed on a tile for a tick, just be careful with your consecutive clicks to make sure they aren't too far apart from each other (or too soon!) (On my first time trying this method I got the akkha transmog, posting here in case others find this helpful)

Cool method. Worth mentioning that even if you go early, you'll still be in sync. As a failsafe you can just go after 4 Simon Says and always be safe (even if you actually have 5 or 6) because you'll still be 2 ticks apart. You might run out of space if you go on 2 or 3, but 4 should be plenty.

It's a good method, my only problem with DT is that Akkha does the double spec every single minute and you gonna lose dps
