Hello, great episode! I wanted to ask how you get a direct booking link to bypass the 20% new client fee on Fresha. Even if clients book through my website or link builder I still get charged new client fees.
@MassageWarehouse18 күн бұрын
Hey Julie, good question! This confused me too at the time and I had to email Fresha customer services as the client I was charged a new customer fee for had booked via my website! It turns out the link I had been using on my "Book Now" tabs on my website was not my "unique link" and just the link to my profile on Fresha.. To create your own "unique link" you need to go into your Fresha Partner Portal, click on the "Online Booking" tab, then click "Link Builder", then click "Create Link" under "Link To Everything." This will then give you your own nifty direct link you can put on your website, social media and so on that your clients can then click to book in directly with you. Annoyingly if a client just searches your company name on Fresha, if it's their first time booking it will come with a new client fee. I disputed mine with Fresha as I shown them that the client that had booked was a friend of mine who booked through my website and although I'd used the wrong link, they refunded the 20% fee and told me what to do so they were very helpful and I haven't paid a new client fee now in a long time so it shows that most people booking in with me are people that have found me directly through my own social media platforms or websites, not through Fresha. If you have any problems, please email Fresha Customer Services and they will help you. :) Chris Maddon

Social media is the hardest part for me! Im introverted and hate being in the spotlight so doing social media for me is so difficult.
@MassageWarehouse2 ай бұрын
We totally get that! Social media can be a bit overwhelming, especially for introverts. But remember, you don't have to be a social butterfly to be successful on social media. A good tip is to focus on sharing valuable content that helps your audience, rather than promoting yourself! Are you joined our Facebook group that's linked in the description under this episode? You're more than welcome to join, we're certain you'll find valuable advice and support from fellow therapists in the group on this topic! :)

I hear you and it's something I hear a lot, but putting your face out there doesn't mean silly trends and TikTok dances - unless that's what you enjoy, even starting with a photo of you doing what you do is a great start and build on it from there, a reel of a treatment with your voice over the top etc. There are so many ways you can build a relationship with your clients without making yourself feel uncomfortable. I'm actually running a free course in January which sound like it would be good for you - focussed on marketing, so make sure you find me on socials. Jemma

Thank you both this was a great episode 😊 I do have 1 very close friend that started out as a client but many more clients that were friends first. I would prefer all massage appointments to be quiet but often people do like to vent, so although we may not be friends, I do know my clients intimately, so I ask after family members & life events that I am aware of. I feel as though boundaries are in place as once they leave my room there is no further communication until their next appointment. I do need better boundaries where messaging is concerned though as I am never without my nose in my diary booking people in, regardless of day, time or venue. Something to work on for sure
@MassageWarehouse2 ай бұрын
That's a great point! It's common for strong client-therapist relationships to develop, but it seems you've already got a good system in place by separating your personal and professional time. When it comes to messaging, maybe you could consider setting specific times for checking and responding to messages. This will help you stay organised and avoid feeling overwhelmed! :)

Hi Emma, there are a number of AI tools available to therapists for data gathering which can help streamline your overall treatment planning. Here are some that also analyses data for you: 1. Quenza Purpose: Client engagement, progress tracking, and data collection. Features: Quenza allows therapists to design and send personalised assessments, questionnaires, and treatment plans. It collects and organises data, which helps in tracking client progress over time. 2. TheraNest Purpose: Practice management with data collection capabilities. Features: TheraNest provides intake forms, progress notes, and treatment plans. It gathers client data efficiently, offering insights into their progress, compliance, and outcomes through reporting features. 3. SimplePractice Purpose: Client management and data gathering. Features: Includes customisable intake forms, progress notes, and treatment plans that therapists can use to collect and store client data securely. It also offers analytics tools to review client trends and progress. Do let us know how you get on! Kind wishes, Sunita

As a client I never want to actively participate by holding anything, pushing or pulling etc. I want to relax 100% and would hate even being asked to do smth.
@elizabethplant38075 ай бұрын
It depends on what the outcome needs are of your treatment. If it is a pure relaxation massage and had no issues with your myofascia/muscles and no pain and aches then this would not be what you would need. However for clinical reasons this can be really helpful if someone needs to have improved ROM and a reduction in pain.
@viktoriakireeva58605 ай бұрын
@@elizabethplant3807 I train regularly, heavy weights, HIIT etc. Regular deep tissue massages.. If a therapist asks me to participate and makes it "clinical" - I'll change the therapist. For me any massage is about relaxation yes, I like fast paced, deep forceful massage, with no talking whatsoever.. it sends me into heaven..

I understand how someone can be reluctant to use it but that is not the reason to convince yourself to ignore it. Of course, even today we have Amish communities driving horse carts and to be fair they’re in some respects better off. (Health in particular) But if we want to stay competitive in the market AI is amazing tool that saves a lot of headaches and even helps to think. It’s only a tool, that can be even a lot of fun to use!🤩

AI is very dangerous. I asked it to produce anatomy of upper back and it gave me some horrific image. For someone not knowing anatomy it would look authentic. But for us familiar with it - omg, I was outraged! Also - I can always always without mistake say whether smth was written by chat gpt or by the person. I would never use it personally.
@MassageWarehouse6 ай бұрын
Hi Viktoria :) Thanks for sharing your experience and for tuning in to the talk show! We've come across some similar stories like yours before when it comes to creating images with ai, some can be very funny! It's important to be aware of its limitations in that sense and as Sunita mentioned it can be a very powerful tool in other areas. When used strategically, it really can make your life easier when it comes to tasks like scheduling your social media posts, brainstorming ideas for blogs and newsletters and helping with the inital drafts. As long as you personalise ai's suggestions to match your tone and writing, you can save yourself A LOT of time!
