I have an assassin snail. I bought it over two years ago to deal with a terrible pond snail problem. Within 6 months, all the pond snails were gone. What has it been eating since then??? I cant tell you. I don't over feed my fish. I have never seen it eat. Sometimes I don't see it for a month at a time, and I wonder if it is gone, then I will see it hanging out on a piece of drift wood. When it finally goes to that aquarium in the sky, I will get something different, maybe a Nerite, but I have to say that I am pretty impressed with it.

why not clean your tank first, then make a video ... I just cant take anyone serious with such (cloudy water and algae) tank behind them ... :)

I've been getting good deals on great looking mopani wood on Amazon. Stocking up! I really like the light and dark look, the smooth flowing shapes. I didn't know it could acidify the water, but I consider that a bonus for the most part. My tap water isn't that hard, but it is alkaline.

I have assassins. I have learned that they can breed with almost any snail they choose to. So what mine was doing was, she was breeding with the bladder snails and laying eggs so then she could eat the babies. It was so gruesome, but also so raw and natural. Assassins gave me a new respect for snails.

How is it possible that a name brand heater like this doesn't have an internal thermostat? Even the cheapo walmart ones you can't adjust have an internal thermostat so it knows when to switch on and off. Wish I'd known it was crap before I bought one for a 3 gallon I'm going to put my brine shrimp in.

I got a Beta last week and he's a beautiful half moon.. looks almost like yours. He's a happy fish in his 3 gallon tank with filter, which was around 40 bucks for the whole kit. He loves bug bites and flakes, but hates the other food. He goes bonkers for the bug bites.. he's smart and knows where his feeding spot is. And he "watches" TV.. 😁

Any one know anything about a betta fish just floating at the top? his eyes are moving, but he kinda twitches or when he floats away from the spot he was just in he swims back to the spot. He hasn't swam to the bottom of the tank either. I just got him. I really hope he isnt passing): I did acclimate him. I'm not sure what's going on. He is also moving his eyes. Please help
