Fantastic part of the game. Act 3 was getting to be a bit of a grind for me, and I was kind of down on reading about the approaching end game (I get very attached to my characters in RPGs and kept seeing horrific outcomes for them!) Jaheira’s family episode is just delightful and got me back into what I enjoy about the game.

I recently had this same scene but for some reason what Shadowheart said to me was different to what she's saying here, she spoke in a more hopeful way (perhaps because I romanced her)

It's so amazing to me that countless would-be victims strolled into this mansion having no idea it was home to a vampire. The place has everything short of a giant neon sign that says "LAIR OF A VAMPIRE LORD". There is nothing that could convince me that when stepping through the front doors you don't get hit in the face with the smell of rotting viscera.
