In Tamilnadu it's so easy to Travel 60 Kms from Salem to Namakkal... It takes hardly 45 to 50 Minutes... Because of this if land price is high in Salem, people can easily travel from Namakkal to the expensive place... Considering Ernakulam, at present it is a nightmare if we have to travel from Kollam or even Alleppey... But that would change once Road Work is completed in another 2 Years

I am working in Salem now. Land prices have skyrocket here.. People do business from home here, like textiles and other distribution... Free land and buildings is actually a massive opportunity which we never had for starting new Businesses which involves Manufacturing or Processing... Government intent is also important... If we can have a Small airport like in Salem at Kottayam or Pathanamthitta, then IT Sector can be developed there...

Very Valid and to the point Discussion. What you missed is the quality of Road Access. At present Kerala is going through a Large Scale Highway Development because of Adani Port from Tvm to Kasaragod. People have to stay in Ernakulam now because it takes hours to travel and reach from Alleppey or Thrissur (Still easier). People stay in Tvm because it takes 2 to 2 1/2 Hours from Kollam. Once the 6 Lane highway gets completed the 60 Kms can be travelled in 45 Minutes which presently takes 2 Hours...
