I am in Australia. How do I go about getting the harnesses. I have the goats but it is a lost art here

We use miniature horse harnesses. They work well for most large sized goat breeds. :) Kingston’s has some mini gear, and there may be other Australian horse tack companies that do as well. Thank you! :) The harnesses are two Tough-1 nylon mini horse harnesses, from State Line Tack. Here is a link: www.statelinetack.com/item/tough1-basic-nylon-driving-harness/BOT74/ We got our cart from a mini horse breeder, who in turn, got it at an auction.

What you'll do if they'll bolt and run as a wind? Are you able to stop them using your reins? Thank you.

Yes. The reins can stop them. If they are bolting, out of control, I might have to turn them first, to slow down, and then stop them with the reins. :)

I wish I was able to spend some time with you guys training my goat Buddy. While I’d be way too heavy for him to pull in a cart I want to use him in my garden pulling my HossTools wheel hoe. He’s an excellent packer but he’s not getting the idea of driving he keeps turning to be lead.

They can indeed. There are even depictions of goats pulling carts and chariots, dating all the way back to the Bronze Age. 😀

I had goats and a wagon much like this when I was a child I hade the harness and had four goats driving I was a hit in the neighborhood a lot of fun used the goats to clean up brush they weren’t to hard to train

@@teamsnazzygoat kids don’t get to do that kind of thing anymore two cousins and I hitched up eight goats to a little home made sleigh in a small snow man that turned out to be a mess we wanted a dog team goats didn’t work well it was fun we had goats scattered all over took hours to get them
