Blimey. A gate that actually works and doesn't completely butcher the tone of the drums. Interesting.

Maybe a stupid question but I can't find the ohms? I'm assuming both 8 or 16 outputs?
@jsullivan2112Күн бұрын
The Creamback is noticeably quieter than the others. I presume that's because of the 97dB sensitivity vs. 100dB?

Question about the Behringer P16 you were using during tracking.. on Evo 16, are you able to use the analogue outputs and ADAT outputs simultaneously? For instance, using the analogue outputs to send to outboard gear, then using ADAT outputs to send to P16 for monitoring. Thanks!
@adamsteelproducer3 күн бұрын
I don’t think that was Behringer, we weren’t using that for tracking- that was Aviom. But to answer your question yes the ADAT outputs run separately so you could run 16 channels out and mix as you wanted for artists

I have always assumed that an IR was a combination of an amp head, a speaker, and the enclosure the speaker is mounted in. But what I'm gathering from this is that the speaker enclosure is not a factor. Is that accurate?

I'm usually very bad at this, but from the start I found that B sounded just a little better. However, when you showed the eq you did on the 5150 that fell into place. Like still something in the low mids where the real one sounded a tiny bit fuller. But yes, they are very very similar and the differences can be even more minimized I think. Plus, the difference was audible in an A/B comparison, but I doubt people would hear that if they listened to the same mix an hour apart with the other amp. I bought this one a few weeks ago and am very pleased with how organic it sounds in my mixes, compared to prety much everything else out there. And the difrference can also be explained by Kazrog having used a different unit. As with all tube gear, no 2 sound alike depending on what tubes were used and how old they are.

Processing on a mic review = useless review. I want to hear what the mic sounds like, not what your processing sounds like.

Fun and interesting to watch. Good job. I'd suggest using the mic you're reviewing while you're talking, or at least showing what mic you are using. We are mic peeps out here! We care! :)

note about "selected tracks via master" ... if you have compression on master, the compression is applied to each individual stem in isolation... it doesn't apply compression as it would when you have the sum of all tracks going through the master compression.

You can get a balanced setup relatively cheaply. I have a iFi Zen DAC which feeds some HD599 that are balanced and some Behringer speakers that are balanced too. Total cost is under 500 quid with cables.

Take the grille off the 58 then you have a 57?
@adamsteelproducer18 күн бұрын
Technically accurate, completely misses the point of the video though
@mindfield983216 күн бұрын
@@adamsteelproducer my point is that you don’t like the 58 but you like the 57 even though the 58 is just a 57 with a round grille. I think the 58 is just slightly more versatile in that you can take the grille off and then you have a 57.
@adamsteelproducer16 күн бұрын
Then you’ve entirely missed the point. It’s not about how it looks, it’s about microphones sold for specific applications and why. You can’t please everyone…

Absolutely love this. Obviously it could not matter less within a track, clean or driven. A half inch change in distance of the mic would have more impact than the positioning of the cab. Less excuses to waste time so we can focus on actually making music! :)

Your videos are really good, but I can understand only half of it and subtitels don't help. Would it be possible to translate it in German language with HeyGen for example? I'm sad that there are only videos in German language about the basics, but not a complete course. You will find out all about Cubase, Studio One, Ableton Live, but nothing about Reaper DAW in German..
@almur8824 күн бұрын
is there a walkthrough tutorial on how to make your own theme in Reaper? I'm considering switchin from Presonus SO but even the most beautiful and personally satisfying Imperial WT theme is not perfect. is it hard to do? I fancy wood panels framing tracks and other 70s vibe to sweeten the eye
