Thanks so much for the great learning experience. I had to go back to the GUI only ones to discover that what I call "plugin slots" are called FX in reaper. This helps to understand the difference between sends and effects (pre / post) when applied to the track context. Cheers

Hi Adam! When you have a track inside a folder and want to send it to a reverb, do you usually also put the reverb track within the same folder? This is the only way I can think of to keep the reverb send level correct if the folder volume is changed - i.e. if you have a drum group folder and send the snare to a reverb outside of the folder, the reverb track level remains at the same volume if you change the folder’s volume, so it becomes unbalanced. If I put the reverb inside the drum folder, then I can’t do any processing on the folder group such as comp or eq, without also effecting the reverb. Is there a better (or best practice) way to do it?

I was a logic user for 20 years.I switched to Reaper and have invested a lot of time in it but now I'm very frustrated with it and may go back to logic since no one seems to know the answer to my Reaper problem. I hope you can help. I have no panning at all. Rotating the pan knob in Stereo pan mode only reduces the volume until it's back in center again. The pan behaves this way wether its midi our audio. I hope you can solve this. Thanks. I am on a Mac studio

That sounds like you’ve got a mono plugin on the master bus, or somehow your headphones/speakers are both routed through one channel. Don’t know how, check on the reaper discord and someone can help

Your suggestion SOLVED the problem. On the master out ittle button (width) was in noon position. Once I positioned it hard right, all the pan knobs work fine. Thanks so much.
