Go for it. I've had a Ducati Monster, an R6 and several Fireblades, amongst other bikes over the years and this GSX-S1000F is the best road bike I've owned. The engine is a masterpiece. It's basically a comfortable sportbike.

I think a gsxr 1000 sticker to swap out the gsxsfsxf Will do the trick . We know it's the legendary k5 bullet proof engine with the lovley long stroke gear box so why did they kill the name 🤣. I think it's because they didn't want the world to know they were selling a 2005 bike in 2016 , but to give Suzuki credit why would you need to change something that's already awesome and I love the fact they come with less dredded electrics than the newer bikes in its league, the only problem with all these bikes these days is the ecu is riddled with crap and will need a tune/ecu flash Big time , smooth out that throttle, lower temps for fan , add more power all round too because when you twist that throttle and give it 100% out the shop you are only getting 70% of your 1000cc 👌🏼👍🏼, get the olins rear shock with decat pipe and exuast before tune and you've got a comfy street killer

this bike is an excellent choice for those of us that don`t want to emulate a GP racer on a sunny sunday. the riding position is comfortable, the seat is likewise, i disagree about the screen i find it perfect for my needs, very little buffering unless you are riding faster than you should. the engine is puuuuuuurfect. sharp response on the throttle but you get use to it. mods i have fitted - max torque can, heated grips, tail tidy, sat nav. all in all this has become my bike of choice, in the words of sinead o`connor - "nothing compares"

I love this bike but why do we want to hear about why you didn’t post any video in 2017? Why do we care that you had other issues? If this is a bike review stick to the facts and the germaine evaluations of the bike. Hearing you blather on about things that aren’t bike review just annoys people. I think you have lots of good feedback people want to hear but this sounds like a first draft and I lost interest before I got to hear it.

Hi Guy, I have a chance to get a low mileage 2016 GSXS1000F for a really great price. But from the reviews I see on here the clutch is to hard to pull in and it's a jerking bike. I am 65 and coming off of a 1972 GT750J which I owned for 14 years. I wanted something more more modern, safer with disc brakes etc.... and more top end as my GT750J wont go over 95....and worrying about keeping the 2 stroke bottle full... So going from a dinosaur to this , what is your opinion??????????? Thanks, Jay AZ... it is a real scortcher out here.....

Have the same bike. Using a shorter windshield by Pugi, smooth !!! my height is 5.8. Surprised you didn't talk about the throttle . I'm going to Flash the ECU soon.... Next time will go with total naked. Not fan of the Fairing.. PIB when Maintaining, and doesn't look as good. (My Opinion..)

You can't be serious man. There is no way in hell this R1 is more comfortable than a sport touring or the Suzuki gsx s1000 for that matter. I rode the R1 for 6 months, (fun bike equally but short time only) There is NO WAY IN HELL i could ever last more than a couple of hours on the R1 over the gsxs1000. Maybe you had one with the so called snatchy throttle which made the twisties not enjoyable? Then you should have gotten a remap with the PCV to alleviate that issue and then you would have definitely enjoyed the hell out of the Suzi. Doing corners much better (smoother), without jerky behavior, with a PCV and sitting up right , one can last 5,6,7, 8 hours easily, with no issue. But this R1 is horrible after a couple of hours on the back and ESPECIALLY the wrists for me. i got rid of it (R1) and will not look back from the Suzi S1000f. The Suzuki gsx s1000 is one of the easiest bikes to ride in the liter bike series. I Love the gsxs1000f now. I can ride it for hours on end and feel like its only been 5 minutes. Such a good reliable fast bike IMHO. Maybe you hit the nail on the head when you talked about rider size. I'm 220 at 6ft 2 -1/2in and the R1 is just too cramped of a feeling and good lord my ass and wrists and back were killing me after a couple of hours. I'm not old just tall and a big guy (not fat) in shape, just bigger than you. That could be the issue i suppose. Anyways,, i'm glad you feel as though you enjoy the ride better on the R1, even though it's hard to believe. lol Enjoy the ride.

I have the same bike and I just got graves full exhaust..my ques is how easy was it to install the headers?and did u have to take gas tank off to remove o2 sensors?about how long did it take from when you started to remove stock intake to when you were done installing your aftermarket full exhaust?

Time spent riding a smaller cc bike isn't time wasted as you can bring the skills and practice you gain to a larger cc bike. Once you are ready for the litre bike it will all seem so natural.

Had a try of the CB1000R (naked Fireblade), great bike but wasn't for me. Without fairing thought my head would come off. Yes it had great overtaking power, yes it was a smooth engine that didn't need revs to go but...I actually prefer smaller cc bikes. I have a FJR1300 but use the lighter bikes as my "go to"

I have about 9000 miles on my 2016 GSXS1000F. I have never had any problems and happy not to have bought into an extended warranty. If you are smart add the following accessories to keep safe. 1.Adaptiv radar detector . About $300 worth every penny 2.Replace headlight bulbs with Superbrightleds.com 3. install an airhorn under the fairing 4.Hyperlites.com flashing brake light add on 5. 12 volt lighter socket I was able to install all the above without professional help

I wouldn't take too much away from a dyno run, sure it gives you a baseline idea but it doesn't tell the whole story. Part of the equation missed in a dyno run is intake variables surrounding air induction into the manifold; something you don't get here. In practice the bike will make more power than a dyno run can account for because of this.

Bike goes 170mph stock due to lower redline. Bumping rpms to 12400 from 12200 will raise it to 177mph. Glad you like the bike though is phenomenal especially for the price.
