How do you decipher how much knitting to make? Do you measure the design prior?
@DecorFromLidiya2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the question, at first I initially used a thread to measure using a stencil (printed letters) approximately how much finished cord would be used, but then I roughly wound it around my palm and began to determine the size of the letter. for example: for a capital letter A there will be 4 turns around my palm, a finished cord, and for a small letter A there will be 2 turns. So you can find the approximate middle, but my advice is always to do a little more than necessary, as it’s easier to unravel the yarn than to redo the work☺️😉

What is the size of the letters?
@DecorFromLidiya3 ай бұрын
Hi, sizes of each letter from 2.5 to 5.5 inches in height, depending on uppercase or lowercase letters.😉

2 questions: What knitting machine did you use? And what did you sharpen your wire ?
@DecorFromLidiya4 ай бұрын
the answers are very simple, if I understand correctly, I use Prym and sharpen the end of the wire with sandpaper. you can see in my other videos 1-7 about life hacks and reference for weaving machines☺️

this is very helpful, thank you ! how do you twist the wire in a way it stays together but doesn’t peek out the cord ?
@DecorFromLidiya6 ай бұрын
Thank you very much, I tried very hard to make many different videos on this topic. I didn’t understand your question a little, but if I caught it, then the ends of the wire can be twisted (a small half-inch hook) so that they do not come out from behind the cord, there is also something like hot-melt glue, it is also fashionable to use it (but the ends are visible they are in glue); but I found clips from China for laces and they worked well for this. in my other video tutorials from 1 to 7 you can see many different life hacks 😉😊😊 I think I'll release a video of how I do it

The cord is made using a cord braiding machine. A very interesting hand-held machine. May be called by different names - knitting machine or icords machine. On my KZbin channel you will see lessons about this. 😉
on my channel you will find many useful videos on how to do this, with tips and life hacks. In short, it’s a wire and a cord made of threads (which I made using a cord knitting machine)😊😊😊
