Today, I want to share my experience with two different techniques for weaving names. Let's dive into the details!
1️⃣ Technique 1:
I started by taking a piece of wire and carefully weaving it into the shape of each letter. I made sure not to clamp all the bends tightly, allowing the thread to pass through the curves smoothly. The wire I used was Silver Aluminum Wire, 2.5mm/10 gauge, and the thread had a light density (3). However, I noticed that the thread had a tendency to twist, requiring me to untwist it from the beginning to the end of each curve.
2️⃣ Technique 2:
"In search of a more efficient method, I explored this technique. I began by wrapping the thread around the wire while it was still in the coil. Once all the thread was in place on the wire, I immediately started weaving the name, adjusting the thread to the desired lower position. This approach proved to be faster and more manageable for me. With time, I realized that there was no need to cut a piece of wire from the coil base, which helps save extra materials and effort. Furthermore, I began to keep track of how much thread I would need for each name to avoid excess and save time. For example, I noticed that for writing capital letters, I require approximately 4.5 turns around my palm, and for lowercase letters, it's about 2.5."
