Up to speed and money pit were my favorite series from Donut. I stopped watching when they stopped doing those. Hopefully Donut won't follow the steps of Top Gear after the presenters left.

Not to be that guy, but capitalism ruins everything. Investors chasing infinite growth, trying to squeeze every last dollar put of something until its fucking dead.

Zack and Jeremiah didnt leave they stated we will still see them on donut. My thought is this is just a spin off thats still funded by the same company. Theyre just trying to create drama by saying they left

I actually unsubbed from donut and followed BigTime. I think they will be more inline with my interests and obtainable and interesting content. Donut has been click bait cringe over the past year and the content it’s self isn’t what it was.

I was aware of Donut but didn't really watch them as I was more into small time guys doing weird builds in their own garages at home on the weekend but lately I had been binge watching their hi low build off series and really getting into it but have gotten up to date with how things are now I am kinda sad. And it seems like there are more channels we're going to see this sort of stuff with yet. I unsubscribed from Donut and went straight to Big Time, can't wait to see what troubke those two get up to

I think i started watching when jobe was hired, he started with the black miata and money pit, those were good videos, and i enjoyed these expensive videos as well, so maybe to a person who is not that interested in following the videos as guides it's fine.

Im excited, donut is the big and massive content then bigtime is the laid back and creative version. I like some of modern donut stuff but the trend is clear, donut is more of the automotive version of mr beast

A video posted by AutoTea titled "Why everyone is quitting Big Automotive KZbin channels" gave insight into what happened and happens when Independent Channels get bought by Corporate Media. He breaks it down as having 5 new Corporate Executives suddenly sitting above the Manager who provide Nothing but put Restrictions on everything. And since the Budget is smaller with 5 more Executives to feed, things get cancelled, corners cut and content rushed. It sounded like it really sucked and people got laid off or just left.

great vid but you don't really need the generic BG music. just comes off as plastic and corporate-ish almost like I'm watching a WatchMojo video and I don't think that's your goal is it? not trying to be mean I say this because you're pushing out quality but that's holding you back slightly IMO. maybe something more mellow or hold the music altogether lol

Up to speed was good enough to fill the silence while I was working in the garage, not that it was bad, but me preferring to actually dig into obscure stories and searching for very specific info I wasn't instantly attached to the broader aspect of Donut's approach to car culture, but going from entertaining to fully bland after Up to speed was axed I quickly forgor about them I'm honestly sad that they are now in such turmoil

I found donut 4 or 5 years ago, and I was in a shock about modification since they can do it in the US but in the EU or in my country Hungary you cant make if you want a road legal car. And Big time make it happen again. I was so happy and excited about the old donut videos, but in a way sad for donut.

Leaning towards big time for sure. Donut media is not relatable anymore. It’s fun to watch, but most of us are not going to be able to do the mods and swaps they’re doing now.

I do miss old donut but at the end of the day it is about making money vs appealing to a niche audience. That is unless that niche audience is willing to pay a premium but that doesn’t seem to be the case with KZbin.
