I love this conversation. The question, "Who are you, who do you want to be?" was right on time! I'm listening to this while getting ready to go to the gym.😂 I didn't sleep well last night at all because of some serious leg cramps in both legs. But if I don't work out every time I don't sleep well, I'd never go. So I appreciate this encouragement. I am going out to the gym because I enjoy the atmosphere of being around others, especially on a day like this when I really don't feel like it. Community is very important for me at this particular time. I'm so glad I tuned in just now! Thank you guys!😘❤😘❤😘❤😘

You know what? I got all of the way to the gym when I thought "Why am I pushing myself when I didn't get any sleep last night?" I did that on Thursday night. Then got up and did a 3 mile walking workout and everything I needed to do at home. We're remodeling the family room and I had to do a lot of organizing in there. I was sooooo tired I couldn't sleep. So I thought to do that twice would be doing more harm than good. So I came back home and had a lovely salad and then climbed in bed to rest. Rest is part of our good health too.😊

Hi Mary Beth! I appreciate you tuning in 💫 Hahaha, I get you 😂 Sometimes I have to chunk down my 'Me Time' into smaller 5-10 minute moments during the day to ensure I get it 😅 It's funny because research shows that relaxation can actually boost productivity. However, I'm fully aware that relaxation isn't always easy for many, especially if they have a medical condition such as ADHD. Excellent discussion and right on time.👍 Boundary setting can be hard, but when people constantly violates one's boundaries repeatedly and you keep letting it happen, nothing will ever change. I choose not to be constantly stressed out and walking on egg shells because I'm expecting someone will go off soon. My way of handling it is to not be bothered, period. Delete any unkind messages, and block all communication. I was glad to have these actions affirmed during you all's conversation. I loved her talk about her relationship with the much younger man and the difficulties that came with it that were not of their own making. Great info! I love these short real-lationship talks. All the tips are good. But #3 was a biggie for for me. I'm on my way right now to validate myself at the gym. 😂 But seriously, we had a big snowstorm here the other day. The city snowplow pushed a huge mountain of snow that turned to ice right up at the end of our driveway! Yesterday I had to get outside and chop the ice and shovel it away so I could get my car out of the driveway. It was very self-validating for me to be able to do that. I felt like all my time at the gym has paid off with my ability to do the things that need to be done. I felt strong and capable. That definitely improved my self esteem and self respect.❤
