And moving her in is a clever way to have extra child-care without violating the no-nanny rule.

Thanks for the shout-out. I was so happy I could give you back your Sims 1 lots. They are the best. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd be interested in a Sims 1 series of videos, be they lot-building or game plays of the various families or tutorials on skilling, building relationships, etc. The house is very pretty and I like the diagonal front door. I love the smoky coral sofas in the living room. The parents' bedroom would like a black-and-white photo without those touches of color. Don definitely would've been called Donnie as a child.

Of course Don will be a future heartbreaker, with all the woohoo talk and his parents openly flirting in his plain sight! I do like their rich deep red and black color scheme. I thought they might learn more to Mediterranean or Spanish colonial style, but this is good.

That cottage is a lot cheaper in Sims 1 so I was surprised to see your Sims 2 recreation does not have a starter home price. The living room is gorgeous with how you did the fireplace and bookcases. I love the wallpapers in all three bedrooms. And the view from upper balcony is so cool. Someone in this hood needs to learn couples counseling STAT! lol

I was happy in my new game when ACR made Daniel flirt with Mary-Sue while Kaylyn was still there. MS rejected him and Kaylyn got mad at him for "cheating" on her. All in the Pleasant family bedroom. I was happy cuz Kaylyn deserves better than him honestly, and I think she can do better than him. Fortunately for Daniel I have decided to spare him from too much torture though because he and Lilith have actually begun bonding through their shared sports hobby. Daniel strikes me as the athletic dad who probably really wanted a (jock) son so I imagine he was elated when he finally took the time to actually get to know Lilith and learned she was interested in sports. For Lilith's sake I will let him be happy (but I can't promise his marriage to Mary-Sue will last cuz I usually make her manually break up with him if she catches him a second time). Also he might end up becoming a vampire cuz he's been wanting to befriend and flirt with the downtown countess. As for Kaylyn...I sadly haven't really found a good match for her yet because not too many of the families really have maid service, and we all know Don is not much better than Daniel. I wish she were one of the premade playables like she is in 3 and in this Old Town save because then it'd be easier to really give her a story of her own, but it is still rewarding to build up that relationship until she can be asked to move in and more. Since she's a family Sim, I don't think she purposely wanted to be a homewrecker to Mary-Sue. I think Daniel probably fed her a bunch of crap that she just believed, and same goes for Don.

I think you're right that someone wet themselves at Zinnia and Samuel's wedding party. I saw a puddle on the kitchen floor by the dishwasher. IIRC, you used to play such a vanilla game but now you have gone on to the Dark Side of cc. That is some wild tiger wallpaper in Zinnia's house! And I recognize the pizza maker in Violet's kitchen. Wow, Violet and Alegra had some extreme chance cards! How odd that Violet would get sick again right after eating the soup. I know you've always used a cc skin and eye color for Violet but are you now using cc makeup? She looks so beautiful in the close-up shots. Or is it Maxis but it works very well with your cc skin?

I love your tutorials. I now start off my sims like you showed us in The Fairy Legacy and your Brandi Broke video, but this is short and to-the-point so it's an easy reference to use.

It's so silly that pregnant sims can't pillow fight. I recently played a pregnant sim who I really needed to improve her aspiration level so I had her date her husband. The date finally stalled bc she rolled stuff that couldn't be fulfilled including pillow fight. I was so frustrated as normally a sim can pillow fight. LOL at sims having a police code for regicide. Thank goodness Woody didn't get fired for that blunder. What a pretty name Isabella Tessa is! Things are about to get hectic when the next baby/babies are born. I can't wait to see what revenge will befall Melissa.

How did you get the university outfit for adults?

I loved playing Ginia in Sims 1. My Ginia would quit her school job, I had a CC typewriter that Ginia used to write books. I also had her paint, pretending they were the illustrations for her books. Plus she gardened and made jam and bred kittens. I always thought of her as a Tasha Tudor with cats instead of dogs. Boots is a girl cat? I thought that all but Maggie were boys. lol I love this house so much! It's so cute and cozy. Ginia's Sims 1 yard and garden look so nice in Sims 2. Her kitchen is so cute! I really love the Seasons stuff. You did an amazing job redesigning this floor plan. It is so much more usable and you were able to add a second bedroom and a powder room. Yes! Have Ginia adopt Tara.

I'm glad you mentioned Bobby's room has football wallpaper bc I thought it was flowers. lol I never knew that bathrooms get a good score from the Head Master. I don't think I've ever showed him any bathrooms. Yay! Bobby's in private school!

I would love to see Ginia adopting Tara! Tara is at the beginning of the adult stage when you first put down her house, making her a comparable age to Cassandra Goth, therefore I believe she would be a child at this point in the timeline. In my longest running Pleasantview, I had Tara adopt a daughter of her own, Makenzie Kat, she then later fell in love with, and married Ashley Pitts from University, and they had twins, a boy and a girl, Preston and Persephony Pitts. Makenzie married Jose Caliente, the son of Dina and Randy (Mr Big) Caliente, and had twins themselves (Jose is also a twin, theres a surprising amount in my game) Clark and Kitty Kat. Preston married Suzy Pleasant, daughter of Angela and Dustin Pleasant, and had twins of their own, Percy and Annabelle Pitts. Persephony married Arthur Tricou, son of the resurrected Jennail and Kvornan Tricou, and they also had twins, Brad and Janet Pitts!

I love the renovation! I got randomly recommended the video and actually learned some new tips and tricks from it, like how to do a manor roof, the fact that you can enclose spiral staircases, and the batbox for cleaning the game up better. :)

Having Tara Kat in the adoption pool is a brilliant idea. I love tying TS2 lore with TS1 lore! We have a lot of children in this neighbourhood, so maybe have her be a toddler. Or maybe you can have her put straight into the house.

This actually inspired me to do my own Old Town recreation in Sims 2! It's a sub-hood of Pleasantview. I downloaded all of the lot recreations and put 'em down. I decided I'd try to depict mine as 25 years later, so the Goth house is just empty with terrain paint to show it as burned down and then demolished (as implied in Mortimer's memories). I'm so tempted to eventually have Alex or Cassie buy the lot and try to rebuild the "original" (technically Sims 3's manor would actually be the original in the lore) home, or at least a new home on the same grounds, not caring what Dina and her lineage do with the Pleasantview home. The families I put in it so far: Landgraabs (re-reworked lineage): Mimi & Dudley are adults and the children of Malcolm II now. I decided to treat Malcolm II as the one from Sims 3 and though it's still a bit of a crunch to make it all fit within 50 years it can just barely work. Anyway, the story I have goes that Chip & Buffy Snooty-Patooty had a daughter named Bambi (she's based on a character from Sims 3 DS), a gold-digger who basically had a fling with Malcolm II and got pregnant with twins Mimi & Dudley. Because her parents were also wealthy, they pressured the Landgraabs for a marriage. She soon had an affair and Malcolm II had no problem throwing her out of his life. She eventually died prematurely as an adult, while Chip & Buffy died as elders (their graves are all in Pleasantview). Then Malcolm II married his actual love, Marion and had Malcolm III with her, but they also divorced for unclear reasons, then Malcolm II married Hannelore and had Adrien with her; they divorced too and eventually he remarried Marion. I'm not sure where to fit him marrying and divorcing "Mom" into this timeline but they canonically don't have kids so "Mom" wouldn't be on the family tree anyway. Anyway I renamed the sims I made originally as Mal I and Hannie to be Geoffery and Nancy but still gotta give them makeovers so they look like them more now LOL. I'm just gonna imagine that Nancy and Geoffery are living into their 80's-90's by sheer force of will, since Nick and Vita are still alive. Neither of them wants to expire before the other one does but Grim might get tired of their bs and just take all four at once lmao. Adrien is married to Lolly, who is supposed to be Lolly Racket from Sims 3 (I believe each TS3 neighborhood is at times in a different time period). Their son is named Jonathan, who is supposed to be a younger Johnny Zest. I have to age him down to a child or toddler though to make sense with this rework. I originally made her as Cheryl, then renamed to Elizabeth Elvira, then to Carlotta (Lobos) and now trying Lolly I also put down the Valentino family but they were made as still being adults. I can work with that though. And of course I made Chris and Melissa, now elders and joined in a union/marriage. I am totally going to rename their household to be "Golden Girls" and my goal with them is gonna be to get enough money to buy the recreation of the Golden Girls house that I have. Don't know where to place them to start with though.

When playing the Goths in Sims 1, I always switched the parlor and the dining room. I think playing both Goth families in Sims 2 will be more satisfying since they will have actual family ties which I tried to do in Sims 1 with poor results. So hard to keep up relationships never mind trying to create family relationships with another household. Wow, it would never occur to me to downsize the Goth home. It came out wonderfully. I love the gothier look to it, too. I love that you put down duplicate homes to make it look like an old money city street. I love having an attractive and appropriate view from my lot as well as the neighborhood view. Of course Cornelia has to belong to the Garden Club plus all the other cultural and civic clubs that a lady of her station should belong. I picture Cornelia having a mahjong table for weekly games with her friends and then tea and pastries after. I suppose Gunther would like to have cocktail parties where he puts on a little piano recital, unless he's the type that prefers to drink alone. LOL Now I have that George Thorogood song in my head.

In my own headcanon, Roger Jones is Edward Jones' brother, which makes Tutorial Jane Sim (or, Jane T. Jones/Newbie) the cousin of Bobby.

I had downloaded the extra Sims 1 families but never put them in my game so this is nice seeing a new-to-me family. You are Ulysses T's higher power so I hope he's right that things are gonna get better. The family's bios are golden! Baby girl is going to take care of her parents and show up her brothers. lol I love the new floor plan. All space is usable without that hallway, and even though the living room and kitchen are open-concept, the way they are now situated makes seem like their own rooms. You know how the tub acts like it's broken but there is no repair action available? In a case like this, would the tub correct itself once a sims takes a bath?

I loved playing the Hicks in Sims 1.That's funny the Sims 4 gallery rejected your Hicks build. Much better floorplan, similar to some friends' trailer home. IIRC, Mod the Sims has a download of a lady's hair curler hair. You could set it as Mama Charlene's sleep wear hair. I'm amazed Elden got into private school with such a humble home, not to mention the dog pee and farting. LOL Elden must've wowed the Head Master with his zeal for classical music. And I'm sure Elden got a full scholarship to private school as I assume the school has a number of scholarships for disadvantaged youths.

Not gonna lie I still get confused with the Landgraab family tree, some people separate the console and PC branches but I like to imagine that Malcolm from Sims 3 is Malcolm I, and he eventually has Adrien (Sims 3 console), Malcolm II, Mimi & Dudley as children and is the Malcolm from the console games. Then Malcolm II has III and III finally has IV who is the current Malcolm in Sims 2. Tempted as I am to add Mimi & Dudley as Malcolm IV's great-aunt/great-uncle (using SimPE) I just haven't gotten around to or committed to the idea yet. I did create the Altos though, who are residing in the bin as I contemplate what to do with them/where to place them LOL. I did download a recreation of both the Sunset Valley Alto and Landgraab estates, but Pleasantview's terrain is so drastically different from Sunset Valley LOL.

In my new Pleasantview this is the home I moved the Burbs into, and I actually redesigned it with the tips from your videos in mind! Because of it being for the Burbs I of course designed it with them in mind. I also added a garage to the home but funny enough it was on the opposite side of the house to where you put it LOL. On that side I put John & Jen's master bedroom. I extended the shell a bit so there'd be more room for Lucy's room but like you I didn't really think the shell needed too much change. Though honestly yours is probably a much more efficient use of space and style LOL. I kinda suck at roofs and don't know a thing about home styles so I didn't add any dormers or second story. Would've really helped me with having room for Lucy's room I might have to re-redesign it now LOL

I had no idea this family even existed! A sims 1 family, the days before there were any life stage besides child and adult (babies hardly counted in TS1). From what I read about them I do agree with depicting Elden as a teen, that definitely seems to be what he's "coded" as. Though it's hilarious that due to the nature of TS1 you'd have to personally remember they're supposed to be parents or else some real cursed events may happen LOL. Thank god that wouldn't happen in TS2 where they're familial ties are actually properly recorded in-game. I love how you do trailers, as I live in the south (Louisiana) I see many of them on a regular basis and the ones I've been in do have a similar floor plan (though the one my cousins had did have a hallway, albeit a small one. Master bed + bath was on one side, with open floor kitchen-dining-living, and then smaller bath and 2 smaller beds with small hallway on the other end. Very similar planning. Obviously makes sense because you've only got a long rectangle to work with.

Goodness I've been commenting on a lot of your vids I hope you don't mind that LOL. My sweet baby jesus christ this house is a mess. I would never know because my sims never really move downtown, they just go to community lots there and I never get to really look at the neighborhood screen - and honestly I feel like that might be another factor in why this build is so dreadfully awful. I might move Lilith into a Downtown house in my new Pleasantview run, she would want to live as far away from Angela as humanly (or, "simly") possible LOL. I like to treat Downtown as part of SimCity's metro area and was probably where the Burbs lived before moving back to Pleasantview. I definitely wouldn't be shocked if this build is so cartoonishly bad because of the aforementioned fact a lot of us probably don't spend a lot of time looking at the neighborhood screen for Downtown rather than the pop-ups to choose a community lot to visit, so they perhaps put in significantly less effort in this build than normal. But them simply tasking this house to someone who had absolutely no idea how to use the tools at their disposal is also likely. Wouldn't be shocked if this house was literally built as the last thing in the designer's shift and they just wanted to get it done and call it a night lol. I also like to make custom downtowns for Strangetown and Veronaville, and leave base game DT for Pleasantview. I name Strangetown's Downtown "Del Sol Valley" for some lore synergy but have no idea what to name Veronaville. Maybe something based off of Shakespeare, any suggestions?

I couldn't even bring myself to delete my original Pleasantview save, I still have the OG as a backup if I ever wanna revisit it while I work on my first ever clean template run. I would be so sad losing the original after all the chaotic, dramatic, happy and just downright crazy stories I witnessed in that one. Even the downright scoundrel behavior of Don & Daniel (and they are significantly better partners than this a-hole). He never stopped to ask himself if the reason his now ex girlfriend didn't want to spend much time with him was because he's just not worth spending time with.

In that show, there is a divorced woman, Charlene, who is the mother of a teenaged girl named Vanessa. Vanessa's dad is none other than Doofinzmerts, the "villian" of Perry the Platypus. Perry is the pet of the titular characters.
