3:14 - Jim Flowers. Anyone who lived in Omaha in the 80s, 90s, 2000s and 2010s remembers him. He was at KETV until 1992 when he went to WOWT. He was there until 2012 when he was dropped suddenly. Then in 2013, he went to KMTV. Then in 2016, he retired.

I love how the commercials are so literal. Here's our stuff. Buy it. We won't entertain you unless it's completely six year old humor. I'd forgotten just how much ads back then stuck to the point.
@EagerSleeper2 жыл бұрын
I know right, it was definitely an overcorrection to the fantastical advertising of the previous decades. Folks got really cynical, and marketers decided to use that cynicism by labelling themselves the "No BS" option amongst many. Then everybody was doing that, every teenager was a "rebel" for drinking Soft Drink B, and were defining a generation by being as unoriginally original as everyone else. Nowadays, modern commercials are kind of absurdist CGI-fests. More fantasy than ever before; selling a 'feeling' than an actual product as Ford trucks are driving on top of mountains, discarded animatronics find a new home in the land of VR, upper middle-class women are finally able to get their whole families to love each other by booking an impromptu vacation at a multimillion-dollar estate for everybody, etc. etc.

My pee story goes like this, A old time friend and I were out roaming one night in Wellington NZ at night and decided to climb a high rise apartment building, was quite easy as the staircases was on the out side, up top the view was magnificent and as nature calls we decided to go for a mega pee off the edge, it was very windy and noisy up there also a bit of precipitous drizzle, after we did the reactionary giggle like most guys do to drain the pipe we preceded to pear over the edge to see were our work landed and to our horror realized there was a funeral house with a Hurst and casket outside with people milling about unknowing that the drizzle on there clothes was not drizzle, we had just pissed on a funeral taking place holy fuck, its something I'm am totally not proud of, it was dark, windy and we got the hell out of there before shit got real.

I didn't realize hobo's were actually super humans capable of summoning giant dust storms and then ascending to the stars...Shenanigans, I say.
@mikesherline54339 жыл бұрын
+Blue Money Why do you type "hobo's"? Since you're not referring to something that belongs to a hobo, it doesn't make sense. You didn't realize hobo's WHAT were super humans? Hobo's arms? Hobo's legs? Hobo's offspring? Or possibly you were referring to the plural of hobo, which would be hobos - that would make sense.

i give people rides whenever i can. my dad tells me you wouldnt even have to put your finger out if you were walking on the side of a highway "in his day," somebody would stop and give you a ride. People are scared to even look at each other, let alone pick up a stranger in need.
