YES! I did it! - I even got 5 stars!! Although: * I used Sazh at the front casting poison because Vanille can't survive! * I also had snow tanking the whole time (except when buffing) * Vanille just healed all the time. Also, one thing that helped me: After using the 'Tortoise' paradigm to defend from his nasty move, use a paradigm of SENT/SENT/MED to get back on your feet! I didn't even need to summon! Don't use Fang because she sucks balls!

Thank you! For anyone still struggling, before the summon goes away, enter the gestalt mode. Spam Up+X, the last point should be used for Triangle. Then just proceed as normal.

What is the key to make the long gui stay that long in the ground? I also put him poison and slow but he doesnt stay that long in the ground as it is shown in this video, I don't get it.

don't dismiss your eidolon. when you enter gestalt mode and perform the finishing move the timer resets. Otherwise, the timer will keep on running from when you summon

Fuck this boss! I don't know why, but EVERY time when I'm nearing the end of Hecaton's Gestalt countdown, the poison stat just disappears and he is just barely alive at that point. Then he kills me.

@@Gunzblazer44 I know I almost a full year late to this convo, but compared to my characters stats this person is really low level. In fact I’m not too sure why I was so afraid of facing off with this thing. Weakest character is Hope with 17+k hp and everyone else is 20,000 to 29,000

GUYS. HELP. I have:- Beaten Barthandelus in Chapter 11- Completed ALL the missions from 1 - 63- Beat the game and almost have all mi characters' CPs on level 5 (the original ones, not the extra three)- Killed all of the previous UndyingI did all this and the damn Cie'th Stone for mission 64 is still dormant. Does ANYONE know what the hell is going on or know about what I have to do?!

with en-element + blitz he is the most dangerous cha. in game (and my main cha.) if his str like fang, highwind is useless :D

DukstarGaming He hits twice with each attack.. so his strength stat is halved. He actually takes off a lot of damage if you give him a few accessories and use blitz

A Tier 3 weapon, that requires a Trapezohedron (R&D Depot for 2m or Adamantoise/Adamantortoise/Long Gui as a rare 1% drop).

Most of the idea here is the Poison method as Poison takes off a fixed percentage which is bigger when the enemy has higher health such as Long Gui's 16,200,000

+jacob whorley I know it's been a while since you posted this so I don't know if you figured it out, but in order for the summon to work you have to cast summon as soon as ultima hits your party so that the ultima doesn't kill your eidolon.

I've been trying variations of this for weeks now and I just can't deal enough damage before he gets up, usually not even close. I know I can do it easily if I just use the Elixir, but I only have the one and am yet to do Vercingetorix. So do I use it now or hold onto it for the other superboss?
