All the times I saw Dan in concert and marveled at his genius, and yes I said it, genius, I assumed I would be seeing him for decades to come. His talent was so deep and he was taken from us far to early.

Great songwriter, in similar style to Don Maclean. Much better singer though

This isn't the musician Dan fogelberg. That coat is a woman's coat and the musician was never that hefty. He didn't live near Aspen. The timing is off. During this fake video, the musician claims he'd been in Colorado for 20 years and High Country snows had been published for years earlier, but it doesn't work out. He couldn't have been in Colorado for 20 years if High Country snows was only 4 years earlier but that man in the video is an impostor and Joan Lunden has never met Dan Fogelberg. The musician Dan Fogelberg retired from music entirely in 2001, following a stroke.

Tim Hatfield . This video is in severe violation of copyright and Licensing laws. The opening intro was stolen from MTV video, the beginning of a 1981 REO Speedwagons video. Anyone who watched 80's MTV would know this. MTV was owned by Disney, who still holds the rights to the original video & the MTV library. The original 1983 Fogelberg MTV video is also owned by Disney, and the fat guy in the video is not Fogelberg, who was always thin. The original videos were published by Sony Music, who still holds the rights to the two videos you destroyed. You destroyed MTV history, and you violated copyright and Licensing Laws. You cannot combine two licensed video publications to create unlicensed nonsense. All videos are supposed to have credits listed in the description. You cannot publish a video and own it since it is owned by other people. Copyright violations. All Fogelberg material is owned by Full Moon Productions, LLC, which is a Business partnership of Daniel Fogelberg and Irving Azoff. Many of your deceptive videos are based on items stolen from Fogelberg's CO home in 2004. Much of what you're publishing is evidence of stolen photos, videos and unpublishable tracks. Then, there's CBS/Sony, MTV/Disney, Full Moon Productions, Dan + Irv, and REO Speedwagons legal entities.

The man in this video is not actually the musician Dan fogelberg. The face is photoshopped from his 97 tour. The man was a 70s musician. No 70s musician wore a funky ascot around their neck and Fogelberg never ever wore a suit to perform. The character in this video is missing fogelberg's moonstone ring. You photoshoppers messed up really badly. What's going on with those sideburns?

This DEFINITELY IS Dan Fogelberg! I was there!

Maybe you were there but the musician Dan Fogelberg was not there. He'd already retired following a stroke. He sailed off into a normal life, never to be in the public eye again. I've known the man and his family since 1987. Some of the stories about the musician are really unbelievable. The musician Dan Fogelberg was popular in the 70's and the early 80s. His people were Eagles-types. No one understands the obsessions over a musician who retired nearly a quarter century ago. It's like they took Jackson Browne and tried to turn him into Elvis Presley. Then they delivered an impostor who is almost Clint Black build, when Fogelberg was always always thin. That's how his real fans knew him. No one can decide anything true about the musician. He and his wife of 27 years can't understand the hype. No one even knows the man got married in 1997.

Fogelberg was one of the absolute best singer/songwriters EVER. He is sorely missed. His death was a tragedy. I miss him and his amazing music sorely. Miss you Dan.

Wow he is so Impressive-!!I really like the fact that his mother is Scotish and his father Swedish-he has ended up with a Gene pool that is exceptional in every respect!If I ever had a son I would be proud of -it would be someone exactly like Dan!! His Magnificence in life transcends his untimely death-the Magnificence is eternal!

Great song, and one of the BEST solos ever!! The whole album Phoenix is one of my favorites. Play it at least one time every month!
@nrlohan47382 ай бұрын
I became obsessed with the guitar fills and solo when I found the Phoenix LP a few years ago. I still can't believe this doesn't get talked about more. I could hear a lot Joe Walsh in it (being a big JW fan), and later learnt that, from what I've read, Walsh played a sketch solo and Dan took that idea and ran with it. It's soooo bloody melodic it gives me goosebumps.

A guitar player, a singer/songwriter, a poet, a storyteller extraordinaire, an amazing musician, a talent like no other, a true and amazing talent with none ever like him again. No one writes, sings, or will ever play like him EVER again, a true gift from God. He will forever be loved and missed. I’ve never seen another man with so much natural talent. He could sing anything and play Guitar and piano and other strings like no other.

...so clear and deeply performed that I got the feeling that I was Dan's only audience...perhaps, the background interference creates for me a kind of wall of isolation that paints the 'real' audience into an irrelevance that gets transplanted back into the Mesozoic era. LOL; Thanks Tim Hatfield for another rare cut gem.
