My wife and I married in 1986. Since that time every morning in October we listen to this song before we get out of bed.

It's been 38 years since I heard this song, and I know every single word. It remains one of the most beautiful lyrics and piano arrangement with the most beautiful voice ever. This song is my old friend from college. I love it!

This song is forever a big part of my story. I can't express how much it means to me or what it means seeing Dan do it live for the first time. I bought this album when I was 16. I didn't know anyone else that listened to it with me.I sang with it, learned every note of every song. I was still singing To the Morning in my dorm room at Duke that morning in 1978 when I woke my Dave. Oh what a love story we were! He wrote and I sang. Haha, flash forward 35 years, thousands of songs together, five kids, businesses..... Now Dave and Dan are only here in these songs. We always called this our song. It has a place in our fairy tale.

Honestly, could this not be the most beautiful songs ever written and recorded? Up there with the Beach Boys - God Only Knows, McCartney's - Maybe I'm Amazed/My Love & Lennon's, In My Life. Dan was 17 yrs when he wrote this and is @ 25 yrs old here!! Truly Amazing.....

This song really takes me back to High School 1981 Grad. Fogelberg had such a talent with music and words. I was really shocked to hear that he had passed in 2007. It saddens me but I thank you for the post and Thank you Dan for all the "treasures"!!!

And Maybe there are seasons and maybe they change, and maybe to love is not so strange. Possibly the best lyric I have heard. So much is said, so much is felt. Dan Fogelberg one of the greatest song writers that ever lived. Hope to see you in Gods kingdom.

Thank you so very much for this wonderful gift of Dan. Even though this was not considered one of his best on the charts I fell in love with Dan Fogelberg when I heard this song when I was just a teenager. I will always tell people when they ask who my favorite singer/ song writer is that Dan Fogelberg is by FAR the greatest for me.

I continue to be amazed by each performance of Dan's that shows up on KZbin! Thank you so much, Tim, for sharing this precious heart felt soothing song with us. It was the first song on his first album and the chord it begins with is the last chord of the last song on "Love In Time"...his last album released several years after his passing. When I was in the audience and he played "To The Morning" alone at his piano, everyone seemed to silently drink in the magic of this song. Many were moved to tears. This is such an amazing example of his devotion and passion to his music as a means to uplift the spirits of the weary in this world. Thank you Dan, for selflessly giving so much for so long.

Wow - This is akin to finding The Holy Grail! Tim - as a Dan fan of over 40 yrs and since Homefree, this is the best group of videos one could have hoped for. I honestly did not know any pre-Netherlands live video existed !! Thanks, Thanks, Thanks...May I ask - where did it come from...it is a superb professional shooting. Greg Palumbo. I would love it if the entire Netherlands album live had been shot. Very much, Miss Dan Our Man - who became a large part of my life for 4 decades, much like the Beatles, James Taylor, Bruce and the Eagles. (Good Company!!)
